R3FRESH Juice Bar — Restaurant in San Diego

This was hand down the worst açaí bowl I have ever had. I couldn’t even finish it. The entire experience was bad and now I have a stomach ache, which is disturbing. The place may have started out good but it’s obvious the owner is cutting expenses and the quality is bad to say the least.

Fruit = Bland/ not ripe and cut into tiny pieces the size of the blueberries

Nuts/ Seeds = I wouldn’t know because even though I asked them to add pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and walnuts (she even wrote them on the container) the final product did not have any trace of any of those

I waited for the 1 employee working to return from the bathroom and at that point I was already running late for my next appointment so didn’t notice how bad the contents were until I was on the road. Really wanted to go back so they could correct it but just couldn’t because I didn’t have the time. Now that my stomach is hurting, it’s probably a blessing I didn’t finish the whole thing.

Rude employee. This was my first time coming to Refresh Juice Bar and as soon as I walked in, the girl who was the only person working there, was annoyed that I walked in. There were no other customers besides myself. I approached the counter and she didn't even greet me. I immediately knew that she was annoyed and I ordered right away. She didn't even say thank you for the order (I even tipped her and she saw that). When my order was complete she just just mumbled it and turned around. I said "thank you" and she just mumbled "yeah" with her back turned.

This was on October 1st, at 445pm. I understand if it's the end of the day and you want to go home, however employees with this type of attitude sadly cost businesses a lot of money because customers won't be returning. And this seems to be a trend among service workers, they have no respect for customers nor know how to be simply friendly and courteous.

I certainly won't be returning...

Family owned and operated, R3FRESH was such a wonderful experience! From the fun knick-knacks they have for purchase, on shelves when you first come in, to its namesake fresh juices. The juice drink I had was tasty with a good balance of ingredients. The best thing I had there was the acai bowl. That floored me! Seriously! The fruit was so fresh, and again, there was such a perfect balance of the ingredients that it all came together well! The owners worked behind the counter and were just so pleasant and gracious. I loved that, in addition to a counter & bar stools, they had some long tables to sit at so you could hang out and meet new people. I'm so glad I found R3FRESH! I will...
