I went with my sister to place our orders in your MMesa branch. My sister wanted to pick up the orders by 9 A.M. but we're told they don't open till 9:30.
We ordered lechon kawali among other things. Pick up will be at 9:30.
At 9:30, we arrived at MMesa and decided to get some of the other food we ordered at Seafood City first.
My sister went ahead while I placed the stuff in the car. When I got there it was already 10:15. I thought she would have the orders already but found out they just started chopping the lechon!!
My sister was annoyed. She said her order should have been ready at 9:30 which was the agreed time of pick up.
A Filipina was moving around the counter and taking orders and she kept repeating, "Ay nagalit agad, nagalit agad" and she was glancing at my sister.
It would have been different if she had said, "Ay si Ate naman nagalit agad" with a smile.
She repeated the same as she handed my sister our orders 45 MINUTES LATE.
As we walked out the restaurant, I asked my sister if the lady helper was talking to her (I wasn't sure if she was addressing my sister when she was saying "nagalit agad).
My sister said yes, because she complained that they agreed to a 9:30 pick up and it's 45 minutes late already.
This happened in March of this year and it's only now that I found the time to do this review. That helper is RUDE!! Find another helper who knows what costumer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreC.S. & Quality / Prices Food Review On rare occasions, my family will come thru here if we are short on time from making the commute to down south for more affordable, tastier and better quality filipino dishes, minus the fatty meats that this place is still is known for throughout many years along with high prices for measured food, and not a grain of rice extra. Ok so anyways, the staff didn't think I could understand Tagalog and began conversing about me negatively, won't get into that, but had to point it out. So I wanted a scoop of rice and pancit, both should've been $2/ea small for my mom, in which they charged me for a full 2 item combo for both...ended up getting charged $7 incl. tax for 1 scoop of garlic rice and pancit. The ladies said that they don't charge less for just that. At the time I was OK with it, considering my mom was hungry and didn't want to hold up the line. What unnerved me and why I'm posting this now, was how they were inconsiderate by speaking badly of me, the whole family vibe for me was out the door. Especially, after knowing how they operate and still was supporting them. So yeah, never coming back here, apparently things have not changed so much with staff and on top of that, the fatty food is STILL simply metiocre with high prices. Seriously, who are they kidding. Sorry, but time to finally...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn order to give this review justice I must give a little background about myself. I am a half-Japanese-half-white hapa girl, so my bias in Asian cuisine is that Japanese food is superior. That being said my BFF growing up was Filipino, and for a short time in my young adult years I had a Filipino step-mother, so I have extensive knowledge of Filipino food and overall it is not my favorite⦠So, I am focusing this review on the Shanghai Lumpia and Customer Service at Manila Fast Food. I donāt eat a lot of pork, which seems to be what most lumpia is filled with, but the Shanghai Lumpia at Manila is filled with beefy goodness. It does not have a bunch of sprouts and noodle filler, it is not too salty like some places around town, it is deliciously seasoned meat, wrapped in a perfectly fried to a golden crisp shell. Delicious. As for the Customer Service the ladies behind the counter and the gentleman at the counter are always nice. If it is busy they will rush you through the food line, but it adds to the experience in my opinion. This is not a gourmet sit-down restaurant; it is Filipino hole-in-the-wall food, FAST FOOD, just as the name of the place states. If ever in a pinch for a last minute work potluck, or family-get-together, give Manila Fast Food a ring, they will have your lumpia ready to go for an...
