If they could get zero stars they would. I used to buy coffee from them, but recently switched diets and need higher fats in the AM. One day I went in asking if they had heavy cream, the girl told me they are having problems with their distributor and would look into it. Stopped in another time and they still had no answer. Today, after a few weeks, went back in to see if they ever purchased it. The same girl, said we don't carry it. I said, Vons is right next door, and it only costs a few $s. Said you'd make your money back from me with 2 coffees and I walk by here every morning and would grab a coffee. So she proceeded to talk to me in a fake-smiled manner, changing the subject. Rather than saying, I will talk to my manager or the owner, she kept saying numerous times we don't carry heavy cream, would you like something else kind of in a condescending manner. So I walked out shaking my head, standing in front while my dog drank water, the girl, her coworker side-kick and the customer that was behind me proceeded to laugh at the situation. The could have waited till I left before mocking me. This is the problem with GenZ these days, they lack customer service etiquette, and have little to no personality. You would think a small local business would go above and beyond to take care of their locals and provide the best service and products? I won't buy another...
Read moreI used to live in North Park and decided to check it out because I never did when I lived in the area. At first I was a bit startled. Every single person in there was on their laptop and there were a lot of them taking up the majority of the indoor and outdoor seating.
Then I tried to order the Signature Moe Breakfast sandwich. The socially awkward, insecure girl that was taking my order told me they ran out of the egg for that sandwich. So I ordered the pesto provolone and that's it. It didn't take long to come out and when I picked up the food I said thank you. The girl that brought it out didn't even say anything. Someone else that was multi-tasking said thank you to me half heartedly.
When I opened the foil, my sandwich that came on the croissant bread I requested looked deflated and was overheated with the edges being burnt. And guess what - there was egg in my sandwich! What the heck? So they still had egg but couldn't make me the Signature Moe sandwich. That was stupid. Anyway, I ate the sloppily assembled sandwich that didn't even have much pesto on it. To think I actually tipped them. Smh...
I won't be coming here again because of all of that. The vibe wasn't what I thought it would be, neither was the service, nor the food with the games they play. Also, I will tell my friends in the area to...
Read moreI like this place a lot. Friendly barristas, innovative menu that accomodates plant based diets. Good place to chill and even work. A little expensive baked goodies to go but when you are sitting there to work, it is justified. Overall a great experience.
Two comments: It is very open and so during cold days it could be freezing. They should lower the screen to keep wind away. Understandable if people are sitting outside but who does in a cold rainy day with lot of empty spaces inside. Another one of my pet peeves is $1.25 extra charge on soy milk. It seems like coffee shops in the area have decided they can get away with it so they will. It is 2023 and shelves with alternate milks in a grocery store exceed regular milk with very little price difference. For a while I avoided the place because of principle stand. Now I go there and order stuff without (alternate) milk because I still like the place and like people who work there. I'm sure I'm not the only one. People who are plant based hate being taken...
