You have to treat yourself to chaggachino. It’s a wellness mushroom latte basically and it is wonderful 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Not really a sweet drink, but the flavor is full and rich. If you want a sweet drink, try their Vietnamese or their 3 kinds of year-round brûlée lattes. So good. My go-to sweet drink is a Yeti quad shot. It hits my brain just the way I like it, a pounding of sugar-rush + slap of caffeine = happy me. The Yeti and Ube Latte are my go to’s when I’m feel down like a warm ice cream on these chilly days.
Also, I would advise you get a butter croissant, but then there would be less for me. That’s actually my only complaint. It’s hard for them to keep drinks and foods in stock. 🤷🏻♀️ if you get a chance, try their ube and cowboy cookies are to so decadent. They taste kinda mischievous in a way too like they would satisfy a child’s insatiable sweet tooth and I feel naughty using my adult money to buy it. Still, the butter croissant is is to die for. Literally. Im sensitive to gluten and I still choose to just suffer with the consequences because it’s that good.
I work right around the corner at a non-profit and I absolutely love the gang at Monstra Hillcrest. On Fridays, I go to a recurring meeting in Banker’s Hill and there’s a closer Monstra there, but I still go the one in Hillcrest, because they’re just that amazing. I miss R. They recently moved on to the next chapter of their life. She brought an amazingly kind and chill vibe to the place. abrazos

After growing tired of having Starbucks all the time, I decided to explore a new spot, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The café itself has a unique blend of modern and antique aesthetics, creating a cozy yet stylish vibe that makes it a great place to relax, work, or catch up with friends. Beyond just the presentation, the coffee itself was rich, flavorful, and expertly brewed, offering a depth of taste that surpassed my expectations. Read moreMostra is my go-to neighborhood coffee spot. Even when the line looks long, I’m always shocked by how quickly it moves — I’ve never waited more than five minutes for my drink.
My personal favorites are the Dirty Chai and the Chaggachino — both are consistently excellent. I’ve also had the breakfast chorizo burrito, which is delicious, and while I don’t usually grab a pastry, they always look incredible.
The team is friendly, efficient, and even has treats for dogs — my pup loves stopping here as much as I do.
Their Bankers Hill location is also worth a visit. It has a quieter vibe, but still keeps the charm with indoor-outdoor seating, big open windows, and great light.
Only time I’ve had a hiccup was during Pride weekend when they were out of most menu items, but the barista recommended a new drink and it was still a win — honest cinnamon latte (pictured here).
Highly recommend — great drinks, fast service, and...
