Girlfriend I went out for lunch today look was looking for Chinese and their menu has changed not in good way for us. Seems like so many restaurants now want to use lots of onions and bell peppers for fillers. So, we came here after not being here for a very long time. We were greeted by someone in the very back of the restaurant. We seated ourselves waited for a while then my friend got up to get our menus. After someone seeing her ask for menus a waitress finally brought us water. We like this place as it's never crowded, clean and the service is always been 100% better than it was today. If you haven't been here it's all vegan so, don't think you're going to get any meat or a real fish as my friend had forgotten. And she doesn't like tofu LOL I decided to try something new for a change a noodle dish with mushrooms, mock crispy duck, carrots and broccoli. Also asking the waitress to please lighten up on the gravy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask not to add any sugar. Seems like so many Asian restaurants put so much sugar in the food. My friend ordered a mock chicken soup with coconut milk and veggies. I had a spoonful of that tasted quite good. She ordered the pineapple rice chicken dish with vegetables. Now, I never saw any mushrooms in my dish, a couple little carrots, enough noodles to fill me up, very sugary gravy Sauce and a few pieces of crispy mock a duck. My friend likes her who dish and took half of it home. I had to get up and ask for our check. Really at this time no plans to go back. Very disappointed today with service and the food. Not to mention the cost of not getting what...

This restaurant was right around the corner from an Airbnb I was staying in. I was so excited to see a vegan restaurant was within walking distance and had such a good review. I placed a prepaid pickup order for the summer rolls and pad thai.

The summer rolls were decent, but I found their peanut/plum sauce to be runny and odd flavor. The rolls were torn, making them pretty difficult to eat. Semi-disappointed, I was excited for a fail-safe, pad thai. The pad thai sauce was very liquidy, to the point the noodles were drowning in it and had to be drained (About a cup of liquid in the container). The tangy tamarind sauce was extremely rich and unlike any pad thai sauce I have ever had (not in a good way). About 3 bites in, I gave up and threw it away all together. I took the meal up to a disappointment, regretting the choice to order out that night.

A few days later, checking my bank statement, I noticed the restaurant had charged me for two charges. This was odd due to two separate payments, when I had done an online order for pickup which I prepaid including the tip. Reviewing my receipt, I guess they decided they wanted to throw an additional tip on my card or something I didn’t authorize, which has yet to be resolved with my bank over a month later.

Overall, I would take precaution if you like traditional thai flavors and I would hold onto your receipt to ensure the charge you approved is the actual final charge...

I have been going to veganic Thai for 5+ years. It used to be my favorite restaurant. Fantastic cooks, Fantastic servers. Over the last year it has slowly gone downhill. First I noticed the food wasn’t as flavorful depending on who was working than I noticed some of the servers who have been there forever weren’t there anymore which is a huge red flag. Tonight I went and that will be the last time I ever go. The food literally tasted bad, all of it. The noodle we ordered literally didn’t have the sauce on them, it was just a plate of bland noodles and there was almost no soy duck. The wontons had a weird chemical flavor. And there was a father and his son walking in and out of the kitchen in their street clothes which was just a bad look.

I’m not sure if the owner or management switched in the last year or something but it feels like a whole new restaurant(in a bad way). The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because of all the years of fantastic food and great memories. I write this review so that whoever is in charge can strive for veganic Thai to be as good as...

Amazing vegan restaurant! As a non-vegan, they really leave me satisfied and coming back for more! On my second trip here, I ordered spring rolls and potato samosas for appetizers. Masaman curry (w fried tofu) and Pad Thai (w/ soy chicken) for my two entrees. Spring rolls were great, and the potato samosas were so full of flavor! And the dipping sauces just elevated them Eben more. The masaman curry was definitely the star of the show. The layering of flavors - so rich and sweet - will have you scraping the bowl. And the contrasting textures of the fried tofu just makes everything even better. SUPERB! The Pad Thai was also very enjoyable. Lots of different flavors going on. I could go without the purple cabbage, but that didn't dampen the dish whatsoever. All in all, Veganic Thai is a gem for all of San Diego. Vegans and non vegans alike will definitely enjoy themselves here.

The food was delicious and the service was pretty solid. There’s a nice overall atmosphere and vibe. The pricing is definitely reasonable and there’s pretty good wine selections. I personally think the plum sweet and sour sauce is amazing 😋😁 The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of the random homeless people who came in and out to use the restroom 🫤 And it’s not to be cruel or anything, it’s just that they were in very close proximity of the patrons dining tables which can be off putting a little. And it’s a single person restroom so it’ll probably cause patrons to be hesitant about using the restroom due to sanitary reasons and concerns. Aside from that, everything else was on point, I would recommend it😎

It is an amazing treat to step into a restaurant, where being vegan, you can eat anything on the menu! Living in Fallbrook, we don't see things like this, but in San Diego all things are possible! We love the food we often get Tjsi at places that don't cater exclusively to vegans, but the flavors here were just but notch above above what were I used to at any generic Thai place! My daughter, who is not vegan, agrees and enjoyed my pumpkin curry as much as she did her pineapple fried rice. The the pot stickers were a great appetizer and the the mango with sticky rice was different than we've had anywhere else, being done with the Brown/purple rice! Most Excellent!
