Who says tiny eateries aren't worth visiting? Not me!!! I found a cute little place called Panchitas Kitchen & Bakery. A sign said Vegan and my steering wheel automatically turned into the drive thru. I'm NOT vegan nor vegetarian, but I enjoy vegetables a lot.
So I decided to order a vegetarian burrito. It has nopales, veggies, guacamole and Oaxca cheese inside it (amongst other things), so that's what sold me for sure. I would say as I got more towards the center, the taste became even more scrumptious! Next time I will order extra guacamole and order some sour cream! Delicious!
They are also a bakery so I indulged! First with Empanada de Calabaza (pumpkin), Riel Queso Crema (soooo good), Bolitas cookies, and fresh out of the oven were Empenada de Pollo. All delicious!!
Such a treat for a Friday afternoon. My daughter enjoyed it, and when my husband and son get home, they'll love me more ❤ 💕. Hee!...
Read moreFantastic. This location is great. People are incredibly nice and helpful. Food is delicious and affordable.
It's a little hard to park, even during week day business hours. If there isn't parking in the lot, there is street parking within a block or two.
It's cash only. There's an atm in the convenient storage if you need it.
In the bakery itself, grab a pizza tray and tongs near the cash register. Fill up the tray with the baked goods you'd like to purchase, then bring it to the register. They'll package them and give you your total.
In January, the rosca is amazing! You have to try the cheese rosca and they also have traditional. If this isn't your culture but you're curious, they also sell it by the slice in the pasty cabinets (you'll put slices on your pizza tray).
Hope that helps, and don't be hesitant to ask these friendly people...
Read moreThe best Rosca de Reyes, I am not a fan of Roscas because I find them dry but I love to just buy them for tradition. I am glad I went to this location and bought it here, my parents were amazed that it had fruit inside. We loved it and plan to come back every year for this traditional bread, I have to say I enjoyed it very much. Not dry at all, it was so fresh, it had fruit inside....
