Rubio's Coastal Grill — Restaurant in San Diego

I have been a loyal Rubios enthusiast since 1989 when I had my first one as a 9 year old. Literally eat a pesky combo once a week. So obsessed my husbands proposal included fish tacos from Rubios! We used to love the Kearny Mesa Test Kitchen, and ordered take out all the time! Recently, they've taken away the order ahead counter so you cannot pay for your phone in order when you arrive, but must wait for all the others in the general line to place their orders, which means all our food is soggy and cold by the time we get it home. I spoke to them about this and the employee couldn't care less. I will no longer be going to this Rubios since they obviously do not care to retain the business of their current mobile...

This is more of a chill chipotle style restaurant. Line up to order, serve your own drinks, and take a number to your table for plates to come out. When we went in the staff members were giggling and gossiping with each other. We were deliberating our options and I got annoyed with our cashier “Valeria” as she kept turning back to her coworkers when my mom would try to speak up to order. We were quite literally the only patrons inside at the time. We almost left when they kept chatting away like teenagers. Also, more menu options would be great. The food tasted fine, but we won’t be coming back. Others may have had better experiences but I’m beyond peeved. Thanks...

I have been going here quite often. This is the cleanest and nicest coastal Mexican food restaurant. The service always has been exceptional. Their tacos are amazing and prices are well balanced. I love their coastal trio. It’s a perfect meal and three tacos make you full enough. Today I made mistake in my order (friend didn’t want beans in burrito and I forgot to mention it) and Braulio offered to fix it for me even though it was my fault! I still bought another meal because we would eat all of it anyways, but i thought that’s a beyond exceptional customer service and I decided that I must write review for this place.
