Señor Mangos — Restaurant in San Diego

I love Senor Mangos on 30th. Its one of my faves. Been there so many times and at one point they knew my order by heart. This was my first time visiting this this particular store. My kid asked for a pineapple watermelon smoothie. They made him a watermelon smoothie and It didnt taste like it had pineapple. It was good but my kid wasn't a fan. I asked them to remake it and the cashier was wonderful and remade it himself. My kid was so much happier and I was thankful. My only issue was that the cashier told me... "Go ahead and take the drink. Its already made." I said, "Ok. Thank you!" and took it. We were outside leaving....walking to the car... and the cashier runs after us and says hes really sorry but he has to get the drink back. I presume the guy in the back felt he shouldn't have given us the drink and needed it back. I really didnt care about the smoothie.. we had purchased $50 of drinks/bowls so we had plenty... but running after us.... calling out to us with others around and then stopping us just to take it to throw away... Embarrassing! I really thought that was a bit much. Next time Senor Mangos Guy in the back... let it go because a repeat customer is much more valuable than that watermelon smoothie you made your cashier run out to get just to throw away. I usually go to the original classic location down 30th street but this newer location on North Park Way is much closer to home for me.

I can pass by on a walk with the dog or even swing by on the way to the Thursday farmers market that is on the same street.

But Senor Mangos is a gem of a place!

If you like fresh juices and fruits and even other things like salads or tortas, they always have the BEST and always so fresh.

My go to is a large Carrot, Apple, Ginger and Lime juice. Ask if they'll also put it on ice otherwise it will be warm/ room temperature. Whatever juice combo you like they can make for you .

I also get the #31 melon bowl. It's watermelon, papaya, honeydew and cantaloupe. I gotta say tho next time I'm going to ask for just watermelon and papaya because the honeydew and cantaloupe tend to be crunchy.

I thought Jamba had good açaí bowls, but senior mangos not only knocked there sh*t in the dirt, but I will be a forever customer. I had payed for my order online and want able to pick it up at the time I selected, I figured after a few hours they would have just forgotten about my order & taken my payment like most places but they had not only put it in the fridge but made me a fresh order without me having to ask.
