Side Chick - Chicken & Fries — Restaurant in San Diego

Tried this place for the first time. I even told the kid that it was the first time. Ordered the Western Chick, The Cali Chick, (asked for the avocado and tomato on the side,. They gave me 1 small avocado piece and 1 small tomato piece) $5 fries, large onion rings, 2 sides of coleslaw (I asked for the $3.00 ones and got the dollar ones I don't even know why they would sell that it is a tablespoon worth), side of pickles ( 4 little pickle pieces), and 3 side strips. I also asked for 2 dipping sauces one Korean and one of their special sauce.

I waited over 10 minutes for the food (no problem) cost $46 gave them a few dollars tip. Got my food drove home 1 mile away and when I got home the first thing I tried were the fries. What a let down they were Limpy, cold and you could tell that they were the leftover scrapings because they had a bunch of chicken batter pieces and small burnt French fries. The rest of the food was tasty, The onion rings were hot and fresh. The sauces were just ketchup. Nothing more.

They nickel and dime you here. I called and talked to a half Manager and he apologized and sent me a e gift card which was absolutely useless.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I am white and they were Hispanic I honestly think that once they see a white person you will get the scrapings. My opinion.

If I could have used this E-Card I might have tried the place again just to see.

You can see below how the fries looked. The sauces I ordered were Bad-B sauce and Korean Chick sauce they gave me two ketchups. The Kid that took my order stapled the bag of food so I didn't see all this until I got home.

I have tried to get ahold of the half Manager several times about giving me the E gift card he promised and it goes on deaf ears. This place is not worth your...

Definitely worth driving out of your way for

This is my second time to this place, the staff is super friendly, very homebody hospitality, and the flavor of the chicken is damn good, the crispyness of it has you wishing you got more of it, it's like a craving, phenomenal. Their regular and signature fries are perfectly seasoned pairing well with all the options they have. Very pinpoint consistent on all fronts

I only wish they did combo meal option on the sandwiches instead of "a le carte" But thats my opinion

Fresh from fridge to fryer unlike some places that prebatter and its cakey chick-fil-a, I'm looking at you. 2 sandwiches split a fry thats perfect for 2, also definitely get that hot chick sauce and french chick sauce

To the partners that own keep up the great work definitely keep the Korean Chick Sandwich that kimchi coleslaw is chef's kiss, its smells and tastes fresh and not artificial like China's bulk garbage that smells and tastes horrible like some other place got, it's a very bold move to have kimchi and it paid off really well

It saddens me to have to leave this review. I always refer customers to here. There’s normally a mixed guy that advocates for the restaurant/ encourages you to download the app for the discount. Today I expressed my irritation with the service of the lady who took my order. I asked for my total, She hung up in my face. The guy ignored Me. Then they tried to charge me for something I didn’t order. I expressed that it wasn’t what I wanted & they read my bag apart to take the fries out and proceeded to charge Me. Once I got home, mind you I live about 20 minutes away. I’ve been into my sandwich and I tasted a piece of hair. I tried to ignore that because I am a loyal customer, but when I took another bite, it was the same thing so I didn’t call the restaurant and they told me to bring it back. No other resolution.
