I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. It is a common go to place with my in-laws. If you like shrimp, you can get Shrimp, Shrimp, Shrimp! That's what mom in law, hubby and son ate until they were full. I rate this place as 5 because we've come here often enough that I don't want to base this rating on just today. My father in law had his steak order and then changed his mind after getting his steak to another steak (Sirloin tips), which he then said was too hard and chewy (see photo. Well done usually is more chewy). If he stuck to his original order, I think if he would have been happier. Usually he doesn't complain and enjoys the visit. He loved his salad which he made himself. Shrimp šŸ¤ šŸ¤ is mini crispy, jumbo crispy and skewered shrimp, served with a bed if rice. My mother in law switched her rice to yams. I ordered all you can eat salad šŸ„— šŸ˜‹ which includes the open bar not only salad, but also with nachos, Tacos, spaghetti, baked potato wedges, soups, all the trims of guacamole, sour cream, nacho cheese, fresh Pico de Gallo, and the soft serve section with toppings. If you like pudding, they have vanilla and chocolate. I'm sure I'm missing plenty they offer.... ($16.99 when u eat there). And I ordered a yummy baked potato.(which I order time and time again! My drink of choice is Blueberry mint Lemonade. It's a large Lemonade which is not on the menu anymore, but they made it for me anyways. When I asked for a cup to go so I could empty out my remaining lemonade, they gave me a fresh order to go. They've done this for me at least 3 times before. The Cheese bread is really yummy, and I love this free item. Hope u give Sizzlers a chance. They have sports playing on three TV screens in the bigger dining hall. Great for families.

This review is updated after this location was remodeled. They took a nice restaurant and transformed into something especially nice. Very steakhouse feel though much brighter. Seems they have a lot of new staff (which is sad as I was getting to know some of them). There is a new drink station (though the servers will refill your drink for you as they did before). The layout for the food stations is unchanged but they reconfigured the seating areas. Still lots of tables to accommodate larger groups. Food remains good and fresh. $18.49 for weekday lunch salad bar (and some hot food items and desserts), drink included if you’re a senior. Service remains excellent. Will be back! prior review ————— Talk about an old school buffet! The place is quite big with lots of seating for groups (I’ve seen 6-8 people at some tables). The salad bar includes usually pasta, sauce, meatballs, a taco station, and ice cream and dessert. If you’re 60+ it’s $19 including a soft drink for lunch. Manager comes around frequently as do the wait staff. Excellent salad station, pasta is usually a little old but still edible, and the soups and taco station are great. Really a full meal without the need to order an entree. Probably the closest thing to Souplantation (but with a lot of extra things to order if desired). Convenient to Home Depot across the parking lot. Excellent!

Oh my gosh. I am from San Francisco California where we really don’t have other than one Sizzler near us in Colma California. When I visit San Diego, we would always visit the Sizzler on Arrow Drive, but it has closed sadly. I was so happy to find this place and now my parent who I bring here and everyone in my family (a large family) loves it here. I have everybody on here. I have fond memories from Sizzler when I was a child. It used to be on University Avenue. Jose and Luis , Managers, Adrian and Dalia, Carlos, Chante and Jeaneen were just awesome. We also met the owner Gary and we have just had the best time. We’ve been here twice in three days. Sadly, I leave to San Francisco tomorrow and my parents cannot get around on their own so they will have to wait for me to come back again. The service was absolutely fabulous. Just so thrilled. Everybody was so attentive. They came to our table so many times. They checked on making sure that we had everything we needed. Chante was just one of our servers and she was fantastic. They all hit it out of the park. This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and I am so envious. I wish they opened one on University Avenue closer to my parents house by San Diego State. I know they would be jammed every day.

We've been strong supporters of this Sizzler location since its inception, and we've left previous reviews praising the food and service we've received in the past. We just had to leave a positive review after last night's dinner. Our family doesn't get a chance to dine out together since our college aged children are both working full-time jobs and we just don't have the free time to do meals together, and last night was an exception. Where did we choose to go? Out of all the awesome restaurants we could have chosen from the I-8 freeway south... we opted to dine at Sizzlers. My wife had the cedar plank grilled lemon salmon, one son ordered the steak and all-you-can-eat shrimp, our other son ordered their steak and Malibu chicken, and I had the senior meal all-you-can-eat salad bar. From the moment we placed our order, I don't remember who took our orders, but she was one of the nicest staff members we've ever had greet us (not just at Sizzler's but in general). Our server Martha took care of all our needs from the moment we sat down at our table. We got our drinks refilled well before they got to their halfway point, we were given their signature cheese bread, Martha had everyone check their steaks and salmon to ensure they were cooked to the right temperature, she brought us extra napkins without ever being asked to, and she checked with us throughout our meal to make sure we had everything we needed during dinner. The dining room was very clean and tidy, as well as the men's restroom. This restaurant is nowhere near new, but it only speaks to the management and staff how well they keep up with ensuring such a clean and presentable restaurant for us patrons to enjoy. We will continue to patronize this fine place, as we could fault nothing that evening. In fact, the food, service, cleanliness, value, and atmosphere were all...

I have been going to sizzler's since I was a little kid and love this place. Unfortunately last night was the worst experience I have ever had. My parents and I went up to the cash register to order. The gentleman's name is Luis Sierra. As I was ordering I spoke to him in spanish and he refused to answer me back in spanish and I asked him oh you don't speak Spanish? He said yes I do but people don't like to speak it. I said well I'm not those people. He seemed to have gotten angry after that. We wanted to order two entrees and a salad bar add on which is 10 bucks but he stated we would have to pay full price for it. Honestly this is the first time it's ever happened. Every time we go we pay for the salad bar as an add on. So instead of the salad bar we got another entree instead. We sat down and then my dad who is gonna turn 79 next week said I really want some soup and salad I'm going to pay for the salad bar add on. He went back to the cash register to pay for the salad bar but it was with a young man this time. We started enjoying our meal when all of a sudden luis Sierra came to our table demanding and yelling at me "she needs to pay!! She needs to pay!!! It was horrible. My parents went to the manager and they were able to prove they paid but the manager was insisting we pay for 2 more salad bars. It was a mess and completely embarrassing. We got our entrees and packed it all up and left for home. It was just a terrible experience and i believe it could have been handled in a professional manner not in the way they came to us accusing us of not paying for anything. I used to love sizzlers but not after this experience. Kindness and understanding go a long way and unfortunately we didn't see any of...
