5 for the food, 3 for the service.
My fiance and I came here on a double date with a couple we met on Bumble BFF, so we got in line ahead of time. The check-in time was approximately 2:00 p.m. and even though we got there a little early we were only seated around 2:20 p.m. or maybe even 2:30.
The server also took a really long time to come take our order after we were seated.
Food took the regular amount of time to come out but because we had been waiting so long already it just felt like such a drag.
As for the food.. I got the seasonal Buddha Bowl without the quinoa and brown rice mix, but extra greens. So it was Greens, sauteed asparagus, mushrooms and cauliflower, roasted sweet potato, pepitas, goat cheese, avocado. The combination went really well together! I don't know what it was but it just went really well together. The vegetables were too oily though. I had to use paper towels to press out the oil but it was still not enough. Also got a chicken sausage patty on the side, which was really good on its own!
I also got the seasonal Burrata & Prosciutto Toast (this was on rustic bread, with burrata, prosciutto, poached eggs, balsamic hot honey and a side of dijon citronette salad). The burrata and prosciutto combination with the egg and hot honey was AMAZING! Like for real beautiful. The hot honey add such a good touch to it all. A really lovely dish. Only negative here is that salad. I forgot to ask for dressing on the side, and the salad was actually drenched in the dressing. It was so strong in the citrus flavor, I ended up not eating any of it.
My fiance got a half and half eggs benedict: One Bella Bella Benedict (prosciutto, Italian cheese, poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula) and one Barbacoa Chile Verde Benedict(Green chili sauced tortillas, melted cheese, barbacoa beef, poached eggs, green chili hollandaise, pico de gallo, and Cotija cheese). The flavors of both were very different from each other, but really really good. I tried both, and I can totally tell why he wanted them both. Barbacoa was much stronger and richer in flavor, and Bella Bella was subtle and classy. Definitely good though.
He also got a small side of French Toast. What a lovely one this was. One of the good french toasts you can get at a restaurant. Just sweet enough on its own that he didn't even need the maple syrup on top!
The other girl on the table got the seasonal Monte Cristo Brioche Toast(French toast dipped brioche as a sandwich with shaved ham, Havarti cheese and Dijon mustard). Not lying, this looked lush! I actually wanted some myself. I can tell how good it was coz she finished it super quick. Same with the Green Juice and Lavender Latte...

Read moreSorry folks but for me this is a case of the emperor's new clothes. According to the reviews were supposed to love this hip place with its creative take on breakfast comfort food. Let's start with decor outs supposed to be retro with its jetson theme astro burst logo all over the place its not, it has the feel of a cavernous industrial cafeteria. The ambience off a restraunt greatly influences the the enjoyment of the food. For breakfast I want cozy funky grandmas cottage or cozy kitschy diner. The warehouse vaulted ceilings and open floor plan made the noise level above relaxing and almost annoying. On to the food, breakfast as any chef or bachelor knows is one of the easiest meals to cook right, I decided to go outside my comfort zone and try the pot pie breakfast. This was basically a dry flaky pastry with some gravy and undercooked egg on top. What it really was, was a poor take on the classic and delicious biscuits and gravy. Supposed to have sausage in the gravy but I detected none. It came with hash browns, once again trying to be hip they looked like they were cooked in a tuna can, a round stubby undercooked chunk. For some reason all my food had large quantities of pepper which ruined an already poorly cooked mess. My companion played it safe and ordered the blueberry Danish pancakes. It was slathered with too much goo and I surmise that was to disguise the leathery pancake nuff said. Oh the coffee well this was true to the diner tepid tasting dishwater we all drank before Starbucks enhanced everyone's life. So no I'll give this place a miss in the future and let the millennials queue up in droves on the weekends at least...
