I’ve been coming to Lashbar Hillcrest once every 2-3 weeks for a little less than one year, so this review is way overdue!

Whether you’re new to lash extensions or a veteran, this is the place to go. Everyone here is extremely friendly and will care about your lashes the way they care about theirs. Every appointment I’ve had has been handled with the utmost care, which is exactly what you want when it comes to your lashes.

INFO FOR FIRST TIMERS

The amazing folks here will consult with you and discuss what your lash goals are so that they can help you get the lashes of your dreams. If you arrive on time, you’ll be spoiled with a lychee champagne (or other beverage) before your appointment, which makes it even easier to relax and knock out.

I started off with Classic lashes, but because my natural lashes are short like my worst ex-boyfriend’s temper and sparse like the hair on his head, I’ve upgraded to volume lashes. I see classics on other people and they look amazing, so it’s up to you depending on your goals, but I’ve loved my lashes each step of the way. It feels pretty f*cking good to not have to spend extra time on my face in the morning. :)

THE TEAM

I can’t say enough about the team here. Since day 1, my lashes have been under the care and grace of Jessica. She (and Joni) have become close friends of mine in San Diego. While everyone on the team is fantastic, I can only speak to my experience with Jessica. I recommend her to anyone who makes an appointment here looking for a senior stylist (as of April 2019, Jessica is a senior stylist). Jessica is extremely detail oriented and admittedly I think she cares more about my lashes than I do sometimes! If you’re reading this, thank you so much for everything! Also a big shoutout to Joni and Allie. Thanks for everything, ladies!

While I haven’t had my lashes done by anyone else here, every person is extremely kind and helpful. It feels like visiting the family members you actually like when coming here.

THE AMBIANCE + LOCATION

It’s cute and clean inside Lashbar Hillcrest, which also makes it a perfect spot for a bachelorette party or girls’ day getting lashes done together, or any of the other services they provide.

It’s located in the main hub of Hillcrest, but not to fret - they offer parking validation for the parking lot just up the street on the left.

MEMBERSHIP YAAAASS

If you’re like me and want to get your lashes filled every 2 weeks, I highly recommend getting a membership! You pay 1x per month and can get your lashes filled twice a month. The pricing depends on the type of lashes you get (Classic vs. Hybrid vs. Volume). It’s cheaper to get the membership vs. paying separately each time, so do it!

PRODUCTS

This isn’t really a review, but just pro tips now that I’ve had my lashes done for about a year. The lash cleanser is incredible and will help prolong your lashes! My lashes used to fall out easily due to stress, but also because my eyelids get oily easily. This is magic in a tube! If your skin runs oily, I recommend the cleanser! I also love the Grande lash product that helps your lash grow thicker. Good for people who have naturally sparse lashes.

You had me at facial and mimosa! A lychee mimosa! Fav!

First of all the decor in this place was very posh! I love the VIBRANT white walls and marble counter tops. They have bar seating so that you can enjoy a beverage of your choice while you are waiting for you appointment.

FOH staff were sweet and kind, and very professional.

Jessica was my esthetician and completed my facial. She was very knowledgeable about how to help me with my dehydrated skin. I live out in the desert, so it's hard to keep moisture in my skin. I love how she explained each step and how each product had a different role. My skin still feels amazing after 3 days! Side note, I loved the products so much I bought them to use at home. I have to maintain all the hard work she did! Until next time ❤

Later I completed lash lift! My technician was Joni and she too explained each step. This was my first time ever doing anything with my eyes like this. So I was nervous. Joni helped calm me and reassured me that everything would.be great! It was a great turn out! My lashes look amazing and curled! No more falsies! For now, until my next lift🤣

Overall, great experience. The staff makes you feel like family. I highly recommend...

The sweetest and perfectioness Ms. Jessica did my Classic Lush Full set /Baby Doll. She was very helpful to walk me through the procedure and discuss the different kinds of lashes for me to choose from. She was accomodating and willing to work with the type of look I wanted. Also not too mention that the atmosphere inside LashBar was so chill and will make you feel like you would like to sleep; which I did 😉Their plush pillows were duper kawaii! I was very much pleased and satisfied with the out come of my lashes. When I was done; She had observe it with my eyes open and she made me close my eyes again and added a few more lashes on my inner corner eye. She made sure I get my perfect lashes that soothes to the look I wanted and she did such a great job on individually placing them on. Super professional and I definitely reccommend them...
