I wanted to write a quick review of this establishment. I often like to not just complain! I love actually prefer, to give props where props are due! This biz has the down gone feel, which if you've read any of my other reviews, always gets a 5 star plus review from me. When living in an over populated city like San Diego to see a biz owner be able to remember and connect with customers and turn upset customers into happy ones in my opinion is doing things right. Anyone in need of any smoke shop type items that want to feel like you just walked into your buddies house Universal Smoje Shop is the place to do it. It's a one stop shop fior all your smoke shop needs. Sam, the owner , isn't just out to make a quick buck. He prides himself on the fact that everyone leaves happy and I say there while he helped me along with several others and we all were equally satisfied. I can always find what I’m looking for at a reasonable price. Are their prices as low as some online marketplaces? Actually, yea, sometimes…but it’s also a small local business, so even if I find an item might cost less online, I’m very happy to spend the few extra dollars to support my neighborhood store. I like the people in this shop as well. Always kind, and always make sure to point out when there’s a special on an item I’m interested in. It’s very upsetting to hear people complain about prices in small local shops, but then they also complain if the shop goes out of business. He takes time, engages and us a genuinely kind man. Which is so nice to encounter today in a world that is masked and cold. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to go into his shop. I’ve only ever met one other staff member and he was equally as pleasurable to work with.
