3810 Convoy St San Diego, CA 92111. I usually go through the drive thru at times during the evening to night time but I needed to do a project so I decided to go inside to sit. Upon arriving to the counter to order this worker by the name of AMY sorta rushed me to order and I sensed her a bit annoyed. After ordering I sat down at the tables near the restrooms and she comes over and tells me I can’t sit there because that section is closed. I told her that there was no sign stating that and that they should have signs at least. So I decided to sit on the opposite side near the main entrance. When I got up to get my drink, the guy was the complete opposite of AMY unfortunately I did not get his name but his energy and mood was polite and not attacking. Sometime passed and I decided to get some water, and I noticed there was a guy sitting where I had originally decided to sit. I told AMY “I thought that section was closed” she looked over and she said it is and didn’t say anything anymore. I really didn’t appreciate that if the section was truly closed then she should’ve told the guy the same thing she told me. I thought this was a bit discriminating and totally unfair and not...
Read moreI went through drive-thru After I worked a long shift at the hospital, I took up the offer for the free tall coffee that Starbucks was offering for health care workers. The person in the drive-through that took my order was not very friendly when I told her I was taking up this offer. Especially when I asked her if all they had was Pike's place which I do not really prefer but I'm tired and I took it anyway. I just did not appreciate her sarcastic remarks. I know everyone is stressed about this pandemic but does she think for a minute that I'm stressed as well after I worked 12 long hours in a Covid unit with me worried if I'm bringing it to my children even with all precautions taken? I appreciate Starbucks gesture but if they have someone at Starbucks selling or taking the orders that has an attitude like that I don't need that coffee. Why don't they give coffee or food and snacks to the needy instead. I think that would be much gratitude for us to give back to the community. We took an oath to help people nothing is needed back except spreading the...
Read moreMonday, 25 May 2020, 7:40 pm. Coffee was lukewarm at best, although it was ordered four minutes prior to arrival.
I was already on the road at this point so it took several minutes, including two U-turns and three stoplights to get back to the store where I found the drive-thru lane full - five or six cars and two yet to place order (with the COVID-19 situation walk-ins are disallowed). I tried the phone number but recording said VM not set up, and hung up.
Not to make a mountain of a molehill but all this followed a couple other issues. Another store wouldn't sell coffee at 7:01 pm and I found only one remaining open location: 15 minutes in the opposite direction. All this places my cup of coffee at nearly an hour's investment, so I was frustrated.
Then the good news kicks in. I spoke to the order window and they placed a fresh, hot cup outside the door. This saved me maybe only five minutes but allowed me to enjoy the coffee and have a 'positive' experience at the end, so that was...
