A sad decline in quality

I write this review with a heavy heart because I have been a loyal customer of Teresita Fruitetia for a long time. I've had some amazing experiences here in the past - the food was always delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. However, my recent visits have been a disappointment.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has decreased significantly. Dishes I loved are now overcooked, underseasoned, and lacking flavor. Service has also been affected, with long waiting times and inattentive staff.

It is clear that something has changed in the kitchen and in the management of the room. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was a bad night, but unfortunately my last few visits have been consistently bad.

I hope the owners and management take customer feedback seriously and take steps to address these issues. I would love to see Teresita Fruiteria return to its former glory as it was once a favorite spot for me and...

WORST PLACE TO GET AN AÇAI BOWL in Chula Vista!!! I placed an order over the phone for a small açai bowl and didn’t notice until I got home their idea of an açai bowl is a fruit salad filled to the top and a tiny scoop of store bought pre-made ice cream type of açai which is a sorbet not real açai. It is not an açai bowl it’s a fruit bowl topped with sorbet. Fruit at the bottom was rotten and when I called the woman said that’s how they make them. I spent $10 for a rotten fruit bowl and this isn’t the first time I’ve gotten rotten fruit from this place. Save your time and money and go anywhere else. I've been going here for many years, since it was a tiny hole in the wall. Watermelon juice aka agua De sandia is great. I usually get the medium and takes me hours to finish it so now I've switched to the small one. Try the tuna torta with jalapeño sauce. Then ask for extra jalapeños on the side. Mango smoothie is a MUST have. Also the strawberries and cream. Yes. Try that also.
