— Review — Last updated 2025-03-25 I only do reviews when I feel they're worth the time for. Only visited this place twice so far, on March 16, 2025 and the 24th. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place nearby to get a sweet snack and the Fruity Macaron Hong Kong Egg Waffles caught our attention.

The place was clean and not overwhelming at all. We were pleasantly surprised to see photos of K-Pop celebrities on the wall. We're casual K-Pop fans, but prefer the older generation of it, so when we saw the merch and list of groups, it dawned on us that this place was where they do kpop-related events. We had never been to one before.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I informed them that it was our first time there and they were kind enough to help walk me through on how to customize the Fruity Macaron Hong Kong Egg Waffles. We chose caramel for our syrup, strawberry for our ice cream, and opted in for the powdered sugar. Takes about 7 to 8 minutes to make, which they let you know. But it is WORTH it.

I'm aware other boba shops sell bubble waffles, but this is our first and it was amazing. Surprisingly, the waffle stayed warm despite the ice cream there. The caramel syrup, thankfully, was subtle and not insanely sweet. The strawberries were almost sour, but not enough to dislike it. The bananas were nice and warm. My girlfriend's top comment was about the ice cream and I agree. The ice cream itself is creamy and the texture of it is a nice middle between how it is when you pull it out of the fridge and soft serve ice cream. The best part is you can actually order a scoop on its own for about $4.99. Overall, this dessert was perfectly balanced. So good that we were craving it again and came back the following week!

We only ordered one drink: the "Feel Special", which was a Golden Mango Peach Tea with Lychee Jelly. Interestingly enough, many of the drinks are named after K-Pop songs and while the drinks may remain the same, the names can rotate out. The drink was pretty good, nothing too exciting. Tastes similar to other Mango Green Teas we've had at several places, but with a subtle hint of peach for this one. Will update this review when we decide to try more drinks and the other foods, but will definitely keep ordering those waffles!

It feels like you’re at a college dorm room blasting K pop music with BTS all over the walls.

They have so many choices on the menu that I didn’t know what to get. They had March favorites, April favorites, signature drinks, top 10 drinks, HK waffles.

I normally get some sort of milk tea but decided to do fruit tea this time. I got winter melon ($6.89) from the top 10 menu. It came with coco pineapple jelly bits already. It’s flavored winter melon so it had that syrupy earthy herbal taste.

My BF got Happiness which was mango kiwi green tea with coco pineapple bits. This one had a mixture of sweet and sour.

They sell desserts like HK puffle waffle with ice cream and jiggly cake ($12.99). I didn’t want to get the cake but my BF wanted to support a small business so we ended up getting the cake which I regret. It wasn’t good. Yes it was jiggle when you shake the box but it was a dry knock off version of Sara Lee pound cake.

Parking in this plaza was easy. Tapioca Express is a few doors down.

For the price, I would say it’s worth it because you can get the same mixture at another place in Clairemont for $8-11. I find this place just average and feel like we need to give it another try because I just don’t see the equivalent of 5 star review that...

I saw a couple of IG reels about this place, so when I went to San Diego, I knew this was a must-see place, and it didn't disappoint. The owner (I assume he was) was very pleasant and welcoming. It wasn't busy at the time I went, so I was able to look around and read through all of the drink options. Everything sounded delicious, but I had to try from the specials board, and I got "Easy," which was a sea salted Sakura milk tea. I also purchased a ZB1 album, and he gave me a free photocard with it. I went back after leaving to take a picture of the menu, and I had completely forgotten about the cupsleeves they offer and when I asked about them, he was so generous as to give me a set. I know boba places are everywhere, but this was a very unique and fun place, so it is definitely...
