The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in San Diego

Come here frequently for morning coffee. Today couldn't find anything because they jumbled up/changed the menu. Had to ask for my regular, non -seasonal drink, that's no longer on the menu. The girl had an attitude, but what ever. You lost me as a customer after I waited 15 minutes in the drive thru, and the girl at the window tried to hand me a bagel. Not what I ordered, and when I corrected her and told her what I had ordered, she said whatever...what size? They never took down my order. I wasn't going to wait another 5 minutes in that mess. I just drove out. My first clue I should have picked up on when I arrived, but didn't, was the 2 cars ahead of me that pulled out of line and bailed due to the long wait. I'm spending my money at the small independent coffee shops...

The coffee is definitely superior to Starbucks, though the selection is not as large, but I'm ok with quality over quantity. I usually use the mobile app to order and I've never had an issue with the drinks. However, I wouldn't recommend ordering food items through the app. Even when they have the item available, the times that they have paid enough attention to notice the pastries and get them with my order are slim to none. I'm 10 minutes out and stop on my drive to work, and I never know if they just didn't grab it when I ordered it and consequently sold out in between my order and my arrival time, or if their app was just delayed a bit and didn't update that their stock was low. I love coffee bean and tea leaf. I have been to several of their locations but everything I come here they mess up my order. I get a tea latte and they give me plain tea. I get coffee with almond milk vanilla and sugar. Today I got a second tea, they remade it and I got a supper sweet coffee with caramel that I watched them make and labe as mine. I know they are busy but my drinks all had to be remade to the point I didn't even want to point out that the tea was wrong again but I was just gonna live with it at that point because I am running late for work.
