Upon entering Tigris Mediterranean Grille, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome that immediately set a positive tone for my visit. It was my first time dining at this establishment, and I decided to order the beef kabob and the chicken tikka plate for my partner. The rice served with the dishes was bursting with flavor and complemented the meal perfectly. The beef kabob was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and slightly firm with a delightful char on the outside. Each bite-sized piece of meat easily pulled apart, revealing a moist and flavorful interior. The fragrant and golden yellow rice perfectly complements the juicy and flavorful chicken in kabobs. The creamy hummus pairs beautifully with the fluffy pita bread, which has a crispy crust that will tantalize your taste buds when coated with hummus. Pita bread is a slightly leavened wheat bread that is rolled flat, either round or oval in shape, and comes in various sizes. The chicken kabob is tender, juicy, and slightly firm, with a delightful char on the outside. The meat easily falls apart with gentle pressure, never chewy or tough, allowing you to savor the juicy flavor with every bite. Tigris Mediterranean Grille is a charming mom and pop shop that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience. Conveniently located in San Diego between Overland and Clairemont Mesa Blvd, this restaurant offers plenty of seating for guests to enjoy lunch or dinner. Be sure to check their hours online so you don't miss out on the opportunity to savor the amazing cuisine they have to offer. Follow me for more food travel experiences!

We were just looking for a place near the Mic Drop Comedy club when we stumbled upon this place. Good variety of Mediterranean type dishes and the color pictures do the food justice. The cashier knew the menu and was able to answer our questions. The portions are large and favorable. We definitely got our money's worth. I highly recommend this restaurant. Note that it is very casual. We dined in, but it seems mostly take out. You order at the front but it is brought to your table in to go containers, sauce in plastic containers, and plastic utensils so that's why the 4 star on atmosphere but if it had wait staff, white table cloths, and a fancier decor the price would be much more. The concentration is on good food. I can't wait to go back and try more selections. Featured is apple walnut salad comprised of spring mix greens, sliced green apples, walnuts, red onions (option: feta cheese) with side of balsamic vinegarette and beef kabobs with rice, hummus, tabbouleh salad, sauce, and pita bread. Two of us split this and had the rest for lunch the next day! Definitely on my list of good reasonably priced restaurants!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Our family owns a large chain of restaurants all throughout the nation. From time to time I like to eat at other Mediterranean restaurants to see what other similar in the industry are cooking up. The rice is perfect, the dill dressing that compliments it is perfect. The hummus is perfect, the taboli is perfect. The best part the kebab is made PERFECT! You can tell all the ingredients are high quality and well worth it for the price you pay. I got 3 meats to try and all of them were cooked to perfect temperature and seasoned just right 1. The beef kebab 2. The chicken tikka 3. Gyro meat (not shown in the picture, I ordered separately) I highly recommend giving this place a shot. Reply to this comment and let me know your thoughts after you try this place for yourself.

So my favorite thing about mediterranean food is getting a little bit of everything. Unfortunately this place nixed that at the bud the moment I walked in and spotted the menu. I really wanted to try the fries because it sounded like it would be a Mediterranean version of carne asada fries; however, I also wanted hummus and a salad. They had no side salads (only big salads). I went with the fries and a side of hummus. Soda machine was broken but no big deal, they got it going and I eventually got some ok fizzy pop (Coke products here guys). After a ten minute wait they brought me the fries. Its basically gyro slivers on top of fries, ok so nothing fancy there. The portion was big, I couldn't remotely finish it on my own. The hummus came about eight minutes after the fries. It was pitiful! So watery, which in all honesty, I suppose was fitting with the almost paper thin tasteless/colorless pieces of flat bread that came with it.

There was a small amount of tsatziki to go with it all. The taste and value were both negative, if it was cheaper maybe I'd consider coming back just on that account but it was just all around bad! Tell you what. Go a little more east on Clairemont and on the left behind the Wells Fargo (before you him Ruffin Road) is a wonderful new little Lebonese place that will give you a run for your money and tastebuds. I spent $15 for what I just described to you. On top of that, the service was also hit or miss. Some nice employees some rude and even a straight up mean employee. There really is no upside to coming here. For the same price I got amazing customer service, hummus, garlic sauce, chicken kabob, veggie kabob, rice, salad, and baklava. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Bonus negative points

Parking lot is cramped Atmosphere is loud during peak times Seating is much more limited and cramped...

As founder of the Christian law enforcement Spirit Of The Law Awards, I had received calls and letters regarding Tigris Mediterainian Grill from police and military members. They shared with me how this restaurant respected and honored law enforcement and Military with a discount and with respect in conversations from employees with them. They also stated the food ROCKS in many letters. I personally went to the restaurant to see for myself. I was just another new customer. I never stated why I was there to verify a Spirit of the community nomination. First let me say the meal I purchased chicken and lamb Shwarma was wonderful. Second, I witnessed first hand how every customer who entered was greeted by name It was wonderful to see That almost every customer came in was a returning customer. The restaurant was packed and people were waiting for take-home food. I must say it was all writen about in the nomination letters. The food especially wonderful in the selection of healthy choices. As a former cancer patient like me this is one of the best restautants I've ever been in. I highly recommend Tigres Mediterranean Grill For healthy diet choices. For police and military families. For you folks like me who have diet restrictions. I highly recommend Tigris Grill. If you have questions or need assistance in ordering talk to the young man who is the cashier. He was helpful in...
