I'm actually very disappointed in the service I was provided. I had previous tip extensions with dip that I wanted removed and then just get shellac polish over my natural nail. The tech I got, Hellen, initially tried just prying off the extensions, realized it was very painful for me, then told me she will soak the rest off with acetone. By the time she removed them, my natural nail was non existent and she shaped every single nail differently, as well as all different lengths. I asked her numerous times to just match the length and shape of the shortest nail, to which she did not. Told me that she will reshape the nails once the polish is done, because my nails are so thin and she can't file them down anymore. She burned me numerous times with the Dremel when removing the old dip, it left bruise like marks on my nail bed. When she was applying the base coats and placing my nails in the UV light, my nail beds were burning because I essentially had no nail left. She went back and forth numerous times reshaping the nails, kept going over the exact same spot with the file, cutting my skin under my nail. She was also ripping my cuticles out, instead of cutting with the cuticle nippers. The nippers weren't working well from the start so she just continued struggling with them instead of getting a different device. My arms were covered with dust from the Dremel, she never brushed it off, instead covered my hands and arms in oil, rubbed it all in, and left it at that. With generally how high the reviews are on google, I am severely disappointed and will not be returning. I will not be recommending this salon to anyone else.

I came here a few times before and had a good enough experience to return. But then I decided to try acrylic nails during one of my appointments. I choose to have them removed instead of filled in and they used one of the hand drills to remove most of it between quick soaks instead of soaking it all off with cotton balls. I was pulling my hand back and flinching at times because the tech was going so low onto my nails that it hurt really bad. I got a regular polish manicure afterwards which was so thick it didn’t dry for hours and I ended up just wiping it off at home that night. Once I took off the polish I noticed there were still large chunks of acrylic left on my nail in some spots and in others the electric file left drivers in my nails sooo thin it hurt even to touch them. Now it’s a couple weeks later and I am trying to grow them out and get them healthy again but they are so thin and flimsy. They still hurt when touched and are literally splitting and breaking from everything. It’s going to take months for my nails to recover. I normally wouldn’t post a review like this but am really upset because my natural nails are wrecked.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! I’ve come here twice now and have been extremely happy with my results. This is now my go to nail salon. Today I needed a manicure for my birthday coming up in a few days and Jay who works there did an amazing job. He was friendly and polite, and worked quickly, neatly, and efficiently and the results were better than I had asked for. Jay offered to sharpen the shape of my nails as well which I appreciated. Overall, I have nothing to say but good things about Envy Nails; go here if you need a mani/pedi. Side note, I live over by college area and envy nails is in Clairemont so it’s a bit of a bus ride but to me (I don’t have my license lol) its so worth it for the quality that is given. Definitely going here again.

I used to be a regular here and for the most part, the experience was decent. However, I've had a few instances at this place that made me decide not to come back again.

First, they were running late quite a few times even when I booked appointments ahead of time. I understand that it's normal once and a while for them to be running behind. But, what I don't like is that they were consistently running behind and they tried to blame me and act like it was my fault when it was not.

For example, there were several times where I would come in for my appointment on-time and the manager would tell me that they had sent me an email or message telling me, ahead of time, that they were running late. So I checked my phone, thinking I had made a mistake, but there wasn't one email nor a text message notifying me that they were running late. That was a made-up lie to put the blame on me, so that they could justify themselves making me wait between 10 and 35 minutes after my appointment time. The last time I came, I had an appointment set and confirmed. When I got there, they mixed up my appointment time and told me that my appointment was about 30 minutes later than it was. When I showed them the screenshot of my appointment confirmation page, they were shocked because I actually kept records. So that meant that they couldn't get away with lying to me again. That's not professional at all.... I decided to just cancel the appointment and not come back again.

In another instance, I booked an appointment for a soak-off and a new set of acrylic nails. I asked the nail tech to take off the acrylic nails that she had done before and create a new set, a new design. Everything was okay until she realized how much work it would be. She complained to me about how long the soak-off process was going to take, how much work it was and she had a not so nice attitude towards me about it. I didn't appreciate that at all even though the nails turned out...

12/20/21 Customer service is extremely important to me. It's been extremely hard finding a manicurist in Kearny Mesa Claremont after moving from up north. The lack of professionalism is unreal.

As a consumer you have the right to request a service whether it's one technician for nails/Pedicure and or a specific shape/color. I've been to this location three times and I like Lilly (2x) and MiMi (last visit). However, the reasoning for review is due to walking in to repair 2 nails that were recently done 12/16. They were happy to take my money, but NOT pleased repairing it.

I was speaking with Lilly regarding nail repair (thank you) and what went wrong. Nonetheless we ventured into making appointments when the Manager interjects (caught me off guard) and they both verbally attacked (also speaking to one another in their language), conveying having to do acrylic therefore making it hard to do both manicure/Pedi and YOU (meaning me 🤣) only like one person. The interactions took place in front of other patrons. In my head I'm like "so"...but outward I explain the reasons why... everyone has different styles, I like creating friendship and most of all I like to enjoy my massages individually. My issue with the encounter is - I shouldn't have to explain myself or made to feel as if I'm a burden, I'm a paying CONSUMER, and I tip. Their energy was so unpleasant resulting in post.

Quality of work is a 3.5 - 4 but unfortunately customer service is a ZERO therefore 1 ⭐.

I'll NEVER SET FOOT INTO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN šŸ˜¤šŸš«šŸ™…šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø
