Victoria's Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Diego

Ive been here multiple times (I live near by) and the food isnt that bad but A LOT of the times my fries are undercooked so ive made a habit of asking to get my fries extra crispy. Today I ordered carne asada fries for my kids and I and asked for EXTRA CRISPY fries ...... I get home and my fries are UNDERCOOKED, the guac a little dark. Like always we said F* it were home and hungry but a few bites and its trash! meat is too chewy, taste was awful and im pissed. Ive given this spot many chances but they screw me too often and the food was too grows to ignore. Ive given 2 stars cause the salsa is good. Im gonna drive a few blocks up to the next Mexican food joint since my chances of getting a good meal there...

There was a time when Victoria’s Mexican food taco shop would open shoo 24/7. Those days are gone. Nonetheless, Victoria’s is still my go-to for rolled tacos. My favorite taco shop since late 90s. It has also been a convenience because it’s within a mile from my home.

The cooks are quick, the rolled tacos are perfectly garnished (all the fixings), fresh, generous portioning and delicious. I usually ask the cook not to over cook my rolled tacos. It’s perfect each time …crunchy, not too hard and not too soft.

I have also ordered carne asada fries and shrimp burritos in the past. Both food items are delicious too.

Had me on hold on the phone for over 5 mins then they had the nerve to just hang up. The funny part is that I kept calling numerous times without success but I get there and literally I walked in and the phone was ringing which was me trying for them to pick up the phone so he just saw the phone and didn’t answer when I was there at the desk! I told him it was me and was trying to order few minutes ago to just pick up and he just said “Oh sorry we so busy” are you kidding me? That’s horrible customer service! At least let me know your busy and can’t take phone orders at the moment instead of just not picking up the phone!...
