I came here with my wife today for lunch since she was getting her hair down at a place in the same plaza. We came exactly at lunch time so they were not busy because they just open. I parked in the back parking lot and they had a entrance from there. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit so we chose a table near the front entrance and the bar. Our waitress did take a while to come introduce herself and bring us water. I took a look at their menu and my wife saw shrimp scampi on the small bites. I asked our waitress if it's just the shrimp or shrimp with noodles which she told me it's just 6 shrimp. So my wife went with the chicken salad instead and I got the breakfast burrito. I also asked for a coke and when I saw it was just a can, I knew it wasn't free refill so I was already disappointed because you're playing almost theme park price for a can soda. Our waitress didn't bring any sauce to our table and I saw other guest go get the sauces themselves so that's what I did. It took a while for our food to come out when they weren't even busy. My wife enjoyed her chicken salad, she said the chicken was seasoned well and you get a good portion. I thought the breakfast burrito was okay but it wasn't my favorite. There no pico de Gallo with it and they give it with thousand island sauce. The place I guess is okay if you come here for alcoholic drinks and bar food but I wouldn't recommend it for like grabbing lunch or something. The service was slow with the waitress, I had to flag her down to get my check when she was just...
Read moreWhat a fun and enticing little eatery/tavern. Specialty cocktails for Halloween were superb and tasty. Food was all around delicious, with tasty flavor combinations. There were 4 in our party and we each tried different items off the menu. Fish and chips were yummy with plenty to dive into. The Chipotle Chicken Panini was simple, but super flavorful. Mac N Cheese with shrimp served sizzlin’ and aromatic. I had the Bourbon burger which excited the taste buds with its bourbon sauce and grilled onions and warm blue cheese. Everything was delightful! We were there early for dinner and drinks, but this family owned Tavern most definitely was ready for the late night crowd. Kudos to those responsible for bringing flair back to downtown San...
Read moreI will no longer dine here. The owner denied serving me inside the restaurant because I was with my dog, who I explained was my service animal, not a pet and who is trained as my medical alert dog. He then went on to say they are full, tables don't allow enough room for my dog, and if he allows one dog today, next week there will be two more. I pointed to his sign showing he allows service animals. My friend also told him what he was doing is illegal. But he maintained that he would not allow us to dine inside and was denying us service. He continued to say if I were blind it would be different, to which I responded, "so it's because you can't see me disability." I'm very disappointed. My friends and I have been...
