H Salt Fish & Chips — Restaurant in San Fernando

UPDATE: Jul 2022 Their dining area is closed. The fish was delicious, hot and crispy not oily (made to order). The chips were hot and crispy but don't forget to ask for salt on the side, they don't salt them. Upgraded them to a 5⭐ although the 3pcs went up a dollar since last year but what hasn't. It's still very reasonable compared to other fish & chips restaurants. It tasted exactly how I remember. Got my fish chips fix for now.

2021 The fish was good, it was nice and crispy. The chips on the other hand were kind of soggy when we ate them 20 minutes later, it also needed salt. There were only two tables if you dined in. It's not in a great area and the inside didn't look so great. But we went there for the fish. The prices were also good. Nine dollars for 3 fish and chips. I decided to stop off on the way home to go to h h salt fish and chips in San Fernando on my way home to the antelope valley. First thing I noticed when I got in there was that the prices was high and that you had to pay $0.50 for extra tartar sauce which came in a small container.The person doing the cashiering and the cooking was rude and indifferent while serving other customers. I'm supposed to get four pieces of fish with chips he only gave me three and I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I I definitely won't be coming back again and I definitely would not recommend that unless you was desperate however there is a good looking sushi place next door that I might try out one day. I was thrilled to find this place took EBT. But when I sat down and ate I had my own drink. The elderly male worker, who I can only assume was the owner yelled at me “I hope that’s not alcohol!” in an Asian accent. Very hostile. Regardless if it was or not it was covered. The hostility was absolutely unacceptable. Obviously he has no skill in customer service. At his age he should know what customer service is and how to approach customers if he has concerns about anything they bring on the premises.
