Excellent Salon — Local services in San Fernando

My daughter came in to have black box dye lifted to be able to go "lighter" well let me say next day her hair fell apart and felt like gum when water was applied to it!!! We had to go to another salon to see what could be done to stop it from breaking further up to the scalp. When we told the girl who worked on her hair that my daughter would like a refund to cover the cost of the salon visit and future treatments needed - her hair was burned/fried from high volume developer and high volume developer used in the actual dye applied after the "bleaching " so that her hair has now lost all elasticity and can't even have a regular combing or washing...... she basically told her that she was a liar that hair as bad as she claims it is would have been breaking apart right then ....this is a total lie as anyone with any brains know chemicals do cause this. Lupe Tello was the one who worked on her hair and is a complete incompetent hair stylist who should not even touch household bleach to clean a toilet let alone put chemicals on someone's hair!!!! Stay away from this place.....after researching their licenses etc i discovered they are on probation for disciplinary action from the board of barbering and cosmetology!!! I am seeking to put in another formal complaint as well as a lawsuit!!! FYI my daughter had to have 8 inches cut...

My daughters went in for a hair cut from Miss Helena.. they were so upset and very displeased with their hair cut. Both of my daughters mentioned how they wanted their hair and HELENA chose to cut it the way she wanted. One inch off is what my daughter requested, but she got a chop all the way to her shoulders. When trying to speak with Helena and ask her about what happened she was very dismissive and shifted the blame to my daughters, as if she was not the one holding the scissors. It’s the stylist job to communicate where the hair will lay once cut and to show the client how much will be cut off. Helena could have communicated with them and this could have been prevented.. my daughters have been crying for days because to some people hair is not just hair and they had been growing it out for years. Helena, you might want to consider going back to school and learning how to cut hair again because the cut was...

I stopped at 2:30 for a haircut . There was only one gentleman there, he was busy with other customers,he called the owner, Sylvia and asked her what time she would be available to cut my hair. I was told to come back at 5 o’clock which I did when I got there Sylvia was there in the middle coloring somebody’s hair, they did not have the decency to call me to tell me they were not gonna be able to provide me with a haircut at 5 o’clock. I was told to come back the next day at 10 I would never go back there again...
