I've been to 4505 2 times. The first time was great, I ordered the brisket with the fried Mac & Cheese. Last night, I ordered a burger, but the burger was medium rare. If the standard for your burgers is medium rare, that's fine, but let the customers know. You can't assume everyone eats meat medium rare. After getting home, my girlfriend mentioned her meat was red. I opened mine and the same result. I drove back to 4505 and asked for another burger because I don't eat my burgers medium rare. The skinny guy with glasses at the register was a jerk at first and decided to grant our remake. I asked politely if my fries could get replaced because I just drove over to replace an order that wasn't cooked to how I consume food. He said no because he is already giving me 2 burgers. My guy, you're not giving me anything because I just paid $65 for food. If you guys ask, "How would you like that burger?" Maybe you could have 2 patties for 2 new customers. After I offered to pay for my fries, he told the cook to add 2 fries as well no charge. The remake burger patty was hard, overcooked, and the bun was harder than the last burger bun. Just because someone asks for well done doesn't mean burn the meat. Wasn't happy with the burgers at all. The brisket was good, but i wasted money on those burgers. Overall, this place is not a good spot, just a restaurant in a perfect area for customers. Another manager there was very nice to me and my family. He greeted us when we first arrived and gave my kid 2 free cookies. Thanks much. The place is still worth a visit, but you may not go back for a 2nd or 3rd visit. I just had to tell my experience so you guys could start asking how customers like their...
Read moreI work nearby. A co-worker and I decided to stop by after work cause we were craving root beer floats and heard the burgers were good. We get the and I look at the menu and see that they have posole. I ask the cashier how was the posole? As a Hispanic seeing a Mexican soup on a burger joint menu gives me pause. He responded with 'it's like a corn meat chili.' clearly he thought I asked him what it was. Describing it as such turned my way off. They inform us that there's no ice cream. So no floats. I order a burger and rose. My friend was ordering for her family at home and got multiple things and a burger for herself to eat while we were there. I get my burger it was fine. Not anything particularly stellar as far as patty size or anything. They bring my friend's burger out and hers isn't cooked all the way it's much more red than mine is. She takes it back for them to recook it. They bring out her to go food and she realizes that there's only one small portion of brisket and chicken. We look at the receipt and apparently the cashier misunderstood her as well and gave her a combo that had that both when she needed two combos. She went to order more. They bring out her new burger but for some reason call out my name and not hers when they bring it. I notice also that they have messed up tht order at the table next to us and are clearly screwing up everyone's orders. Tht cashier clearly can't communicate and honestly the whole experience was pretty subpar for a walk up order restaurant. I wanted to take back the two dollars I dropped in the tip jar. Won't be going back. Guess we'll never know how good...
Read moreThe food was very small for the price, very close to $20 per person. I had a Brisket Sandwich, again it was tiny, which tasted horrible the meat was kind of overcooked and had a weird texture. It was extraordinarily bland and dry. Even after bbq sauce it was still dry due to the bbq sauce being so runny and thin. The sitting area was all outside which gave the restraunt an interesting feel. However with only a fence between you nd a busy street you get a lot of people glancing at you as they walk by as well as whiffs of downtown SF air with all its smog and other unpleasant smells. The seating was somewhat sparse as well as awkward as only benches for seating. The benches were a little flimsey and got moved around a lot and even one was imbalenced sending somebody in our group on a bit of a tumble at first. Due to the seating being benches along with self seating caused the seating to be extremely inefficient with small partes spreading over an entire table. This meant there was always a line of people waiting to be seated. The service was excellent and it was SUPER fast with very friendly staff, the workers were constantly moving around to ensure maximum cleanliness despite the somewhat exposed environment. Overall the speed and service carried most of the experience. This is the kind of friendly place I might take some friends for a fun experience albeit not...
