Instructor saw me waiting at the door at 3pm as I arrived on the dot with a lot of traffic from Uber. She already locked up the door but class didn’t start yet, so I waved to her inside the studio clearly indicating I was there for class, yet she ignored me before she even started the class. As I kept waving to her from the outside hoping she would acknowledge my presence and finally knocked on the glass studio door, she finally came out and said ‘you are too late. it’s now 3:05 and class started at 3. I didn’t even lock the front gate until 3:02’ while she just ignored me for 5 min straight and I was literally standing by the door since 3:01 plus minus 30 seconds and clearly it was already locked. I have never been locked out at a yoga studio before but I understand it is a safety measure. As I tried to explain to her it was my first day in SF and first visit to the studio and didn’t mean to disrupt the class but didn’t expect to be locked up outside after 1 minute, some female asian students inside made snarky loud noises towards me and showed me ‘wtf’ hand gestures for interrupting the class that barely even started for 2 minutes.
