I was excited to try this place as it has a very high rating on Google. I ordered Bahn Mi without head cheese. Normally it comes with head cheese, pate, and something called fancy pork. I received a sandwich with head cheese and no pate. I must’ve said no head cheese about five times because the two women working there did not speak English very well and I do not speak Vietnamese. I then found this in my sandwich. looked like something that would be used as a backing to carpeting. I have now found out that it is something called pork floss. It’s supposed to be edible and I did try to eat it, but it had no flavor. I wonder if that’s what they consider fancy pork. I ordered a chicken banh mi, and the guy seemed surprised when I asked for a receipt. Apparently, he didn't even know how to print a receipt, so a woman came out from the back to help him. After handing me the receipt, she asked me to wait outside in a rude tone of voice. There were no other customers except me, but they made me wait outside in the cold for no apparent reason.
I wish the banh mi was worth it, but it wasn't. The chicken was way too sweet, and the pickled carrots were thick, tasteless sticks.
