Nice quiet area . provides an area for dogs ,adults with and without children. The Harvey milk community center located at the top of a decent incline provides summer programs for kids and photography classes. Bathrooms on the lowwer level just inside the double doors to the right. Blocks away from haight street watering holes eateries and shopping, or blocks from Safeway for that last minute item needed to complete a meal or refresh at Jamba juice as well as curcj street shopping and munching. Just few block up from there is the always vibrant Castro district with some of the most welcoming inhabitants and regulars. Easy spot to catch public transportation to the Randall Museum.. Nice to bring a blanket and work outdoors while sunbathing. A spot i would go with my mom to make daisy crowns and blow bubbles. Not to mention get my photo taken by photographers ftom community center. The yuppies answer or alternative to the famous Hippie/grass root activists spot to gather and parlay with others while medicating exchanging philosophies...

This park is a nice pocket of green right in the middle of a busy neighborhood. As others have mentioned, the only downside is the traffic along Duboce - MUNI Tracks, Bike Lanes, and Driving Lanes. The bicycles are quite possibly, the greatest hazard. Cars and even trains yield to pedestrians, but bikers are not subject to the law, or so they think. So, protect your dog(s) from the bicycles, and have fun.
I've met some hilarious, eccentric dog owners here. A fellow Jewish guy struck up a conversation with me one Sunday. He was completely covered up, and had his coat hood cinched up so tight around his face that only his sunglasses, his nose and his mouth were visible. His dog started barking at a kid on a bike. Because I love dogs, it grants me the opportunity to dog-watch the myriad of breeds that playfully trample the lush green grassy hill. .
