Fine drinks and atmosphere. Very weird credit card policy and no one working seemed to understand it. First, the brought the wrong receipts. Then, they came back to say they didn’t charge my card. I gave them my card but checked my bank—they did charge my card. I went to get it back, they were very rude and kept insisting this is normal—it isn’t. They explained that their POS runs a holding fee and that I wasn’t being charged twice. Ok fine, that could be true, but through the whole interaction they were SO rude, condescending and accused ME of fraud. I am still waiting to see if I get refunded the second amount. Overall, very terrible experience where I felt like I was accused of doing something wrong, when the whole time they seemed confused, forgot drinks, and then forgot to charge my card, but actually did? Read moreAn excellent bar attached to the hotel Kabuki (you DO NOT have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy the bar), staffed by the kind of bartenders that are natural mixologists and able to just sort of innovate their way to an excellent drink on the spot based on vague descriptions.
A great collection of Japanese inspired cocktails (try the umeboshi!), using some solid spirits you might not have tried before
Note that these cocktails are not Instagram material, they're all flavor with subdued visuals, which honestly is the best kind
