Update 3: Don’t know why it took me so long to come here for brunch. It was a rare warm day so we dined al fresco. He ordered a chicken sandwich which had melts cheese and grilled onions. I had crab cake Benedict. Both came with a salad garnish which was refreshing. The potatoes had a nice crunch. Great brunch place as it gets a crowd but not insane. It can handle a big group too!

Update 2: This just re-opened under new ownership. The 3rd one since we've been coming here. The menu has a wider selection. My husband thinks that it leans more towards Italian. I still see echoes of the French menu. We ordered the rock shrimp and scallops. Glad that we asked for warm bread and butter to soak the sauce. He ordered a salad and I ordered the salmon. What I love the most is the wine selection. The previous owners offered European wines which was good if you like that style. I personally prefer California wines so I'm thrilled. I ordered a flight of the Chardonnay. The creme brulee was so good but I wasn't fast enough to take a picture. We sat outside though they also have seating inside too. So glad that this is open again!

This is a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path that locals go to. We've been going for over 10 years. It's French but not pretentious. We sometimes go right when it opens without reservation. It gets packed on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

We usually order steak and fries, mussels with curry and risotto. They always accommodate kids' request for pasta with butter and cheese. We try their escargot from time to time. I'm glad that they offer California wines too and just not just French wines.

Searched up "saturday brunch" and found this place highly-rated. We found street parking so easy and went for walk in the Panhandle before our scheduled meet-up and eat-up booked via OpenTable. This is on the corner of a quiet residential area with very nice looking apartment buildings. I don't usually gush about brunch but this was really well done. 1) poached eggs for the Benedicts were well-cooked with runny yolks and soft whites; 2) steak with the chimichurri sauce was so delicious (whole 'nother level of steak and eggs); 3) roasted potatoes are excellent (usually they are left abandoned on our plates at a brunch, but we gobbled them all up); 4) ricotta pancakes were right-sized (one con: couldn't taste the matcha over the blueberry flavor) and had a nice texture. Only other con was that I expected the bellini to have a peach puree vs. syrup. The burrata salad was a little too sweet dressed with the ample dollop of fig preserve and I've had better fresh-oozing burrata. The service was very attentive and friendly getting our order in quickly before the 20+ table, serving us water refills and clearing our plates. The ambience is more in line with evening dining as it's darker seating inside with a fun light fixture on the ceiling and mix of leather booth and wood chair seating. Overall it is a 4.5 star (note: I...

We ate here and not only was the service horrible, but they ruined our holiday celebration by feeding us pasta with gluten (and telling it was gluten-free when they served it). Regarding the pasta, my adult daughter and I ordered gluten-free pasta. After dinner, we walked 10 minutes to a nearby holiday performance; upon arrival there my daughter got violently sick, and remained so for hours. Thus my husband watched the show alone while I drove her home. As for the service, there was no indication when we made our reservation that our seats would be outside, but upon arrival were told inside seats were first come, first served, so outside we went. Since we came unprepared to sit in the cold, Dec weather, even with heat lamps we were chilled and uncomfortable. Then no one took our order for 20 minutes, until the embarrassed busboy offered to do so – and he took it on his personal cell phone. Apparently, no server took over the order, because we had to ask about our food after waiting for 40 minutes – and watching the table next to us, who’d arrived long after we did, get served. Seriously, it was all wrong, and cost us two tickets, an extra uber, and a ruined evening. Kudos to the manager for owning it, apologizing, refunding our dinner and giving us a gift certificate (which we donated to an auction). But...
