After telling the owner who "Has been in this business for over 25 years" that I needed a MacBook that could handle Adobe suites and apps he sold me a used machine that is not upgradeable or compatible. Seems 25 years doesn't open your ears to the needs of your customer. If I could give him and Love Haight zero stars I would. Save yourself the headache and the trouble and go someplace else. I now have as "all sales are final no exceptions" which I wasn't told, have a very expensive doorstop.
I was just contacted by the owner who again didn't listen to me or my concerns with "25 years of experience". I again state if I could give zero stars to warn people to stay away I would.
I was contacted by the owner after the addition I was busy and called him back twice, left messages both times. Now I would leave negative stars and I am glad I gave him now three times to make this correct but again he dropped the ball. Love Haight should be off your list of choices for you Apple needs.
The issue still exists even after the owner called me to "make it right because we are people of color..." I was still a person of color when he sold me that doorstop. I was also told when I said I wanted my money back that, " with water damage it is 125/hr and it was a rush job (which I was unaware of nor agreed to) so by the time we take his fees into the equation it would be better to just take the swap offer he was giving me." I agreed as I wanted it over and told him on SATURDAY I would be there MONDAY two days later, he told me I should've called. I asked why when I told him I would be there today/Monday. He has a headache and the computer is not ready. I will deliver to you which I declined as I wanted to check it out since he a person of color with 25 years of experience in the business has lied and cheated me out of my money. I told him I would be back, I later called him Tuesday 10:50 am as he does not answer the phone I left a message stating that I would not be coming that day but Saturday April 6th between noon and 3 and to please contact me to let me know he received the message. I am still waiting on that call AND that swap MacBook he promised me.
25 years in the business and unable to have a computer setup, unable to listen even though he told me "I needed to shut up and listen to be a better customer."
Come on Google no stars should be next on your list of things to give. Love Haight would probably be better with someone else...
Read moreAfter years of patronage, at least a decade even, I purchased 2 computers for my new company. Though the owner is a lot to handle, I had generally had a great rapport and experience buying 2nd hand computers over the years.
In less than 18 months, Computer 1's battery died after being "completely reinstalled."
Computer 2, I had dropped off to sell it back, but ultimately after a year of trying to show up to pick it back up when it was not able to be bought back, was eventually handed back a computer that would not work until I took it to Apple to have software reinstalled - despite the fact that I never gave permission for them to wipe the item. All in all, I had to have tried to come by, set appointment, etc, at least 5 times to ever get the computer back because they are so disorganized. I would show up and they couldn't find it. This was particularly difficult because I do not live local to the Bay Area anymore so my opportunities for pick up were slim and specific.
At my last visit, it was agreed that they would replace my battery - but it was also requested of me not to email the email I had, but to instead use the website to book, or call the store.
The phone wasn't picked up, the advance booking website thing was completely ignored, so I used the text number I had available to try to clarify next steps. I was brushed off, told to call the store, or use the website, while trying to set a dropoff in advance and simply trying to figure out what my next steps were while trying to respect the erratic owner's requests.
I've decided to give up because I will not be treated poorly while simply trying to get my machines that I spent 2k on to work. But more so, this mistreatment needed to be published because it is poor...

I called around looking to sell my Mac, but no one was buying. I was eventually referred to Azam at Love Haight Computers, and it was a game-changer. Even though the Mac market is saturated, he took the time to talk to me directly and set up an immediate appointment due to my urgent situation.
Typically, they require some time for a free estimate, but Azam expedited the process and had everything handled in just 30 minutes. He even helped me reset and clear my computer, ensuring it was in the best condition for resale. Instead of dealing with Craigslist headaches, sketchy buyers, and long wait times, Azam checked real-time vendor prices online and offered me 10% more—all without the hassle of shipping.
Azam and his team are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They truly know their stuff and go above and beyond for their customers. Azam even stayed an hour past closing just to make sure everything was squared away. On top of that, he gave me some fantastic startup advice for my company, which was completely unexpected but deeply appreciated.
The location in Haight-Ashbury is perfect, and if you’re looking to sell or buy a Mac, or have any computer needs, this is hands down the best place in town. Overly fair, super fast, and an all-around great experience....
