I love playing basketball here and reminiscing about when I first arrived here as a Deadhead circa 1994 😃😹 First album, first song "everybody's dancing in a ring around the Sun"

One of the better playgrounds in SF for your children to roam around and explore. It's surrounded by nature, so it feels like a fairyland in the middle of the forest.

I was there at 4am and it was really quiet and spooky. But it was a nice morning stretching excersice at the playground

Since they redid this playground a 1-2 years ago, it is great for 5 yrs old and under. It's okay for kids between 6 and 9 or so, if they have an imagination and/or are with a friend or two. I love that the equipment mostly uses natural materials or metal, i.e. little plastic; gives the space a more natural feel which fits well with surroundings of the Panhandle. There are 2 picnic tables. And a bathroom just nearby (though it's usually pretty gross, but it suffices when your kids has got to go). Could use some more swings and bigger ones at that; I feel like the west side of the playground is underutilized and hence better equipment (like more swings) could be added there. Oh, the slide, though not very big, is pretty fast, which my kids love. But...

I used to live in the city but moved about 15 years ago and now live in Sacramento county so don't get back too often. It had been at least a year since I had been back and I was shocked at the state of things. That being said the panhandle was actually a pleasant surprise it seems a lot better than other parts of the city. I don't have kids and didn't actually pay much attention to the playground but just walked around the park so can't say anything specific about...

The city upgraded this is playground about a year ago and it's fantastic. Things I like about it (1) it's enclosed with good visibility so you can see all your kids (2) great equipment for toddlers to older elementary school age kids (3) some shade depending on the time of day (4) easy access via bike (via Page St or the panhandle) with a bike rack right...
