I recently visited Bobaville in SFO, and it was such a cool experience! They have a convenient self-service ordering system where you place your order at a screen, and then your drink is ready for pickup at the counter.
I tried the Taro (Purée +Milk) , made with fresh taro puree and milk, and it was absolutely delicious. You could really taste the difference—the taro purée was creamy, not overly sweet or artificial.
What truly stood out was the quality of their boba. It’s clear they make it from scratch.

I ordered the Taro smoothie since it was later in the day and can't handle caffeine late. It was creamy and delicious, and I was able to add oat milk. Also the boba is handmade on-site!
