Delicious food served in a beautiful interior dining space or an expansive outdoor area. The beautiful umbrellas hung on the ceiling, art, and warm lighting make this restaurant very welcoming. The manager, Hsan, was very helpful, kind, and seemed happy to answer my questions. Service here is excellent. The food and drinks are also excellent. All of the portions are meant for sharing, which is why they have separate plates and serving spoons, but if you're alone, it's fine to eat out of the bowls the food comes in. I had the tea leaf salad, chicken curry with rice, and Burmese milk tea. The tea leaf salad is an acquired taste and I didn't like it, but it was flavorful and the tea leaves are imported because they can't be found in the US, according to the manager. The chicken curry was perfectly seasoned and the chicken was extremely tender. You could shred it with a spoon. The jasmine rice was perfectly cooked. The Burmese milk tea was the perfect temperature and really tasty. There were a lot of other drinks as well, with alcohol. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. There's loads of dining space inside and in the back, the food is great, there's a restroom, and the food is fairly priced.

- B.K. Style Signature Tea Leaf Salad - Nan Gyi Thok - Rice Noodle Salad - Beef Lemongrass - Coconut Rice - Semolina Cake I visited a couple of Burmese places in SF, and this is one of the best place to go, especially for their Tea Leaf Salad and Coconut Rice! I had all the dishes above and all of them were amazing. It's a family business, and the salad is made super fresh when you order it. Coconut Rice had a great mix of sweetness from the coconut and the fragrance of the saltiness of onion. The texture was also perfectly chewy, but not too soft. I could tell the owners put a lot of care into each dish. And they're friendly, too! They were very careful about checking on a food allergy in my group. I'll definitely come back when I visit SF again!

Burmese native here. This is the BEST Burmese restaurant I've tried so far in the SF/Bay Area. The flavors are authentic and all of the food is made from scratch. I usually try the pork curry as it is a quintessential Burmese dish and the pork curry here was the tenderest pork I have had so far in any restaurant with an aromatic curry base. Their tea leaf salad is also fantastic with a higher ratio of fermented tea and fried peas than most other restaurants. Their coconut rice was also perfectly cooked and they accomplished at making each individual grain perfectly fragranced. We learned from the owner they've been open for more than 18 years. We will definitely be back!

I've been back here so many times and this place is still by far my favorite Burmese restaurant in the Bay Area. The flavor is very authentic and much closer to what I've had in Myanmar than more well-known popular spots like Burma Superstar and its network.

Food highlights: Chin baung jaw: shrimp sautéed with roselle leaves. Very tangy and delicious--my favorite dish here! Seems like a lot of people don't know this dish, so I would highly recommend it Tamarind leaf salad: popping with flavor and just a really nice appetizer. Another dish I don't think many Americans know about--try it! Tea leaf salad: classic and much less lettuce than many fusiony Burmese places here Balae chaung: this is a side but is a delicious chili accompaniment to your main dishes Lemongrass beef: very nice, deep flavor that goes well with all the rice types they offer Sautéed spicy lady finger: the okra is cooked well and goes really well with the sauce mm! Mohinga: classic fish broth with noodles--my mouth is watering just thinking about it again!

These are just a few of the dishes I'd recommend--I've still gotta go back and eventually try the whole menu.

Service-wise, the owner and servers that I've met before are so sweet. It feels like a real mom-and-pop shop that cares about their customers. It's a perfect place for a casual dinner or weekend lunch.

Really hope this hidden gem is able to get its name out there and compete with the more well-known Burma Superstar...

Super flavorful and delicious cuisine! I can’t speak to the authenticity since I have little experience trying Burmese food and have never been to Burma, but I can vouch that whatever flavors they served were just out of this world, very unique blend of spices that is hard to describe, mostly savory, some spicy, some tangy. Bursts of flavor is what comes to mind. I was too excited to try one of my favorite items, the tea leaf salad, which did not disappoint although was somewhat different than the usual, less tea leaves and lettuce and more nuts , beans and grains. We also got the ginger spice pork, delicious, the sour leaf bamboo (great if you like sour), the shrimp garlic egg noodle (great fragrant garlicky flavor) and basil fish (fish was unexciting but basil curry sauce interesting). Coconut rice was delicious. For once, I forgot to pay attention to the price, so opinions here are based only on taste without consideration to value. The portions did seem on the smaller size, though, so unless the prices also matched which I sort of doubt m, I would probably have thought this place was on the pricey side, but that’s not confirmed give that I forgot to pay attention to the price. We were there at 5pm when it opened so service was prompt although wasn’t checked upon much. Casual ambience was fine, we had the restaurant to ourselves from beginning to end. Would return if...

Delicious, fresh, authentic, flavorful, bright, creative, unique, diverse, amazing. Suggestion for 4 course meal with varying flavor profiles, textures, formats. Price is very reasonable. We take visitors from out of town here all of the time, including business visitors, and they always love it. Most want to return the next day.

SOUP Samosa Soup: Delicious. 1 bowl will feed 4 to 5, maybe 6 persons

SALAD and BREAD Ginger Salad. Menu highlight. Roti with Potato Curry. Cut the Roti into quarters. Top with curry. Order extra Roti: 1 Roti per 2 or 3 persons. Crowd pleaser. Children will love these. Crispy Pea Salad. If more than 4 persons this can add in an additional item. Tea Leaf Salad. Great if early in day or people don't mind caffeine.

MAIN COURSE Pork with Young Pickled Mango. Menu Highlight. Note it has mango pieces with seeds. Chicken Biriani. Pumpkin Stew If more then 4 or 5 persons or spcial interests try these... Shrimp with Sour Leaf. This dish is made with locally custom sourced Burmese green leaf vegetable Roselle with a taste similar to sorrel. Very unique. Beef with Lemon Grass. Okra. Add White Rice if Biriani not enough.

DESSERT Ask what they have, but they often have home made traditional Semolina Cake which is light...
