How can I check my bag in if there’s no one around to check my bag in? I came into try to find some practical all black shoes for work & had even asked, “do I check my bag in?”. Getting no response I proceeded to look for shoes & then was told by a worker upstairs that I had to check my bag in. Well why not check my bag in then? If you’re too busy, I’ll just go elsewhere, as I had waited for a while at the desk & even asked very loudly “so, where do I check my bag in?”. “Hello?”. The people are generally snobby every time I’ve come here, so I’ve only come by once a year or so. Apparently it doesn’t matter who works here, as I’m sure their worker turnover rate is pretty high, maybe the job just sucks so much that they have to take it out on other people. Whatever the case may be, this place sucks! Goodwill is way better! I only stopped here because it was on the way to another store. Otherwise I never waste my time, & I shouldn’t have done so this time either! But, good luck to anyone else who...
Read moreUpon delivery of my donated items, I discovered the Drop Off Attendant has the ultimate discretion as to what items to accept or decline. Like some kind of curator or buyer? Even though I consulted the SA website and phoned ahead to make sure all items I carefully loaded into my car and personally delivered were acceptable donations, the attendant rejected most of my items because he determined "they had enough of those items already." Really? So rude and unthankful for my time and effort to support the organization and those in need. I will not go there again, only to be turned away. Goodwill is unfortunately the same. Attendants have the ultimate say, and what is acceptable or not is completely subjective per the individual on duty. The attendant's policies were completely inconsistent with website information and with management answering the phones at the Family Store....
Read moreI’ve been here about 5 times now and had a bad experience every time. The employees will give you attitude for existing inside the store and the prices are absolutely insane for a thrift store. You might be able to score some SHEIN or forever 21 items for a decent price IF you can beat out the resellers who walk around the store hoarding piles of clothing so big they can’t even carry them. Don’t even bother with the homegoods though because you can buy the same crap for cheaper brand new. One time, I waited in a half hour line only for them to announce their card machine bit the dust and they were going cash only. And they wouldn’t hold my items for me to come back even after waiting 30 MINUTES IN LINE TO BUY THEM. Stores like this are ruining thrifting and robbing poor people who need a place to buy used goods for a...
