San Francisco’s Chinatown is loaded with many charms. Strolling up and down the streets and through the alleys can yield all sorts of pleasant food and drink surprises. One that I discovered with my family and liked is By Me Boba Tea.

This drink establishment is in an alley and for that reason, many might overlook it completely. It’s a quaint and charming little place, selling all sorts of teas and other drinks. Among the selections, one will find such treats as Caramel Milk Tea, White Peach Fruit Tea, plus other drinks too, like Mango Coconut Milk, Watermelon Juice, Matcha Latte, and more.

My family members and I each ordered a drink and we were quite satisfied with the results. I could have easily ordered a second serving of my milk tea- it was sweet, creamy, and indulging. The inside of By Me Boba Tea is limited in accommodations. There are only a few places to sit so most who visit will likely grab a drink on the go, which is what we did.

Parking isn’t easy to come by in this part of San Francisco. This store operationally is a mess and a disappointment given the high ratings. I came when there was only a party of family ahead of me and a couple after me.

The party of family grabbed my drink (I did not realize until later as they were not calling out order numbers. The store also wasn't checking which customer was grabbing what order). Then the couple behind me grabbed my egg puffs just when it came out of the kitchen (again the store didn't call out the order number nor check that the customers were taking the right order. They simply handed it over when the couple asked for it).

When I spoke up about the egg puff, it was too late and the couple dashed out of the store. It was then I asked about my drink and they realized it was taken by the party ahead of me.

I got an insincere apology and overall it took almost 15-20 mins to get a fruit tea and an egg puff when it wasn't busy at all because they had to remake both. My drink also didn't taste right (granted I asked for 50% sweetness but it tasted like none was added). The egg puff was ok. I want to support small businesses but this is one that I...
