This place is yummy. I didn't grow up eating food with my hands and there is something so intimate about that, for me. I like that. I've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. The service is friendly and prompt. The place is nothing fancy--cozy in an extremely casual way. I recommend the ground beef Sambussa, the vegetarian combination, and the ground beef Kitfo! They also have this tomato-based spicy dip that they serve on the side of the Sambussa that is delicious and they kindly gave me more before I even asked for it, when I asked what it was. Fireside Bar is a friendly neighborhood spot that makes for a nice place to hang out and chat with locals. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, dogs are allowed inside, and there’s a solid selection of beers to choose from.

I did try the Moscow Mule, and it was pretty average—not really close to a traditional Mule in terms of ingredients or balance. I’d rate it about a 4 out of 10. That said, this feels more like a place to enjoy beers, dogs, and good company rather than cocktails.

Super chill bar with a comfy set of leather couches right by a real fire. They know how to make solid drinks without overcharging. I had my birthday here last year and they were very accommodating and reasonable when my friends surprised me with a cake.
