Just had a the most bizarre experience, after having been a regular customer since they opened. I typically order take out, including a note that requests extra sauce on the Chicken Ka-arge.

When I got home with my food, there wasn’t an extra sauce, but worse, the one I had was barely filled. It had like 1/16” of sauce in it. So I headed back to get some sauce and pout out the tiny amount. This was just inconvenient, but,Then it got weird.

The hostess/server looked up my order and said, “There’s an extra charge for more sauce.” (Never has been) And, next time I’d have to pay. She handed me a sauce. When I pointed out that I really wanted 2 sauces, that the first was basically empty. She absolutely refused to acknowledge the lame first sauce, and would not give me a “second sauce.” I told her I’d been a customer for years, but she didn’t care one iota. Then when I said, “Well you’ve just lost a customer.” She responded with “Ok, give me the sauce back then.”

Sadly, as much as I’ve enjoyed their food over the years, I’ve also enjoyed the customer care and hospitality that no longer...

Sushi at this restaurant is absolutely 100% art. Everything from presentation to how many specific pieces of caviar is meticulously prepared by the sushi chefs.

I came here for my 30th birthday, and was offered a complementary ice cream and chocolate cake dessert.

The atmosphere was very friendly and social , we were approached by fellow diner’s, and struck up a conversation with someone eating near us. The service staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Buying the sushi chef beer produced three separate complementary not on the menu items. Each one was a flavor roller coaster I took my tongue to a new dimension of flavor. At times I had to stop eating just a process what exactly I had just put in my mouth.

The fish was so fresh, so Tinder, and so raw.

If you’re looking to experience quality sushi in San Francisco, I would highly recommend this location as it is...

This is a 3.5 stars review.

First time hubs & I cam here we just had some oysters and the fried octopus legs, that was so good a week later we came for a full dinner.

Coming from the peninsula we are used to big generous portions, which was not the case here. The nigiri and the roll were "small. The nigiri were good, not great, I would preferred the fish to be much colder. Even though we usually love tuna, here it kinda felt like a supermarket sushi. "T" the amazing who was preparing our food, noticed that we weren't very satisfied with it offered us complimentary Toro which were tasty. I really appreciate people going above and beyond to please their customers and T definitely did, Kudos!

The sayuri roll was average in our opinion, but the octopus legs appetizer was as good as the first time!

I wouldn't come here for a full meal honestly, but I'd come back fro some oysters and fried...

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve had sushi that reminds me of my trip to Japan’s 🇯🇵 Tsukiji Market last year, but Ginza Sushi in the Haight brought me right back. Ginza flies their fish from Tokyo’s famous Tsukiji & Toyosu & showcases a new rotation of seasonal fish each week. 🍱 10/10 recommend this San Francisco gem the next time your sushi craving hits! Featured: • Garlic edamame • Chicken curry karaage • Moriawase - seasonal selection of nigiri & sashimi • Mystery Box - chef’s choice 🍣 What’s your favorite dish or roll? 👀 Be sure to follow @cheycheyfromthebay for more of the best San Francisco recommendations on where to stay, eat & play! 📍San Francisco, California #onlyinsf #sfguide #sushibar #haightashbury #japanesecuisine #rooftopbars #sanfranciscofood #cheycheyfromthebay

Tap into a taste of Japan 🇯🇵 at Ginza Sushi & Sake located in the Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco. You’ll find various cuts of fish 🍣 including my favorite, toro aka tuna belly. Beyond that, they’re serving up creative dishes like a Hokkaido scallop udon soup 🍜 and a Super Salmon Tartare that allows you to build your own handrolls with several different kinds of salmon. Dishes I Tried 👇 Tsukiji Fish Sampler (with Toro, Suzuki, Megina, and Inada) Super Salmon Tartare Scallop Udon Soup Spicy Negi Toro Roll Ginza Roll Bluefin Zuke Don #sanfrancisco #sf #sanfranciscoeats #sushi #bluefintuna #hokkaidoscallop #toro #nigiri #sushisf #sffood #sfeats #sffoodie #bayarea #bayareafoodie #bayareaeats #bayareafood #bayareasushi #sushilover #ginzasushiandsake #eatsbyrachel

Can't make it to Tokyo's famous Tsukiji fish market for a sushi feast? No worries, because I've found the next best thing right here in San Francisco's Haight and Ashbury neighborhood: Ginza Sushi and Sake. Trust me, this spot takes sushi dining to a whole new level with their weekly deliveries of fresh fish straight from Tsukiji. And let me tell you, the modern and exciting twists they put on traditional sushi will blow your taste buds away. From the DIY handroll masterpiece that is the super salmon tartare to the soy-marinated bluefin tuna sashimi in the bluefin zuke don, every dish is a flavor explosion. And for all the non-sushi lovers out there, the gyu steak and scallop udon soup will steal the show. But make sure to save room for dessert, because the Hokkaido mille crepe cake is a sweet finale you won't want to miss. With impeccable cuisine and a warm and inviting atmosphere, Ginza Sushi and Sake is a must-visit for any sushi adventure. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. #ginzasushiandsake #sushi #SanFrancisco #SF #BayArea #BayAreaFoodies #GinzaSF #GinzaSanFrancisco #SushiSF #SFSushi #SanFranciscoSushi #SushiSanFrancisco #BayAreaSushi #SushiBayArea #JapaneseFood #JapaneseRestaurant #Restaurant #SFJapaneseFood #JapaneseFoodSF #SanFranciscoJapaneseFood #JapaneseFoodSanFrancisco #JapaneseRestaurantSF #SFJapaneseRestaurant #SanFranciscoJapaneseRestaurant #RestaurantSanFrancisco #Sake #SFSake #SakeSF #Toro #HokkaidoScallop#CapCut
