Update* 2/14/19**
Unfortunately had a very bad experience today. The bartender let me know after I had a beer that there was $15 minimum for cc transaction. I am all for supporting it but it just felt very random and inconsistent policy as I’ve had used my cc for under $10 transactions at this location before. May be the he was just having a bad day but he was taking it on me with very poor customer experience. (Or dare I say, I was profiled customer? At least felt like it)
He pointed me to an ATM machine at the back for which I would have paid $7 fees anyway. I felt it’s better the bar made $15 than me paying unnecessary transaction fees to a 3rd party. At the end of the day I was charged $15 for a pint of beer; astonishing, especially given all the markup bars already make on beer!
Will really make me think hard before walking in again.
It’s a gem of our neighborhood, but most importantly one of the best cocktail places in SF. Great selection of cocktail and beers. This place also allows dogs which is a beat. Staff and all the folks here are...

The ambiance is very old Spanish style, everything is candle lit giving each table a very personal experience while excluding you from everyone else. I really appreciated that, even when it was a pretty loud bar given all the people, it was also very personal at the table and you did not get any overwhelming feel of people in a bar.
The drinks are really good too! all the craft cocktails were amazing, but the whiskey/bourbon based ones were my favorite. Just wasn't the kind of night for tequila for me, but the drink was...
Read moreSuper great vibes and our incredibly friendly server, John, made great suggestions of cocktails based off of our preferences. Very creative, lots of options, and not too busy when we were there on a Monday afternoon. Huge bonus that they are open earlier than most other bars in the area, which don't open until 5:00 p.m. Not being local, John also gave great recommendations for amazing spots we had to check out in the area - he guided us to a quick hiking trail off Cortland through this Jasmine plant that led to a secret pathway up to a looking point with basically 360° views of the...
