TLDR: food was pretty good but got pushed out with no prior warning, took our plates when we weren’t completely done and ate our dessert outside in the cold

We came here to celebrate my birthday and there were seven of us. They were accommodating and answered our questions. We ordered about $300 of food and I liked the crispy skin on the pork and the duck itself being deboned made it much easier to eat.

However I left with a bitter taste in my mouth because while I made a reservation for 6pm, they had another table at 7:30. No one let us know beforehand that we would only have the table for 90 minutes. They definitely let us know by taking our plates away when we weren’t 100% done, and even though we wanted to order the soft serve, we had to eat it standing outside in the cold like we didn’t just spend $400 after tax and tip inside the restaurant. Like they started removing our plates at 7:25 and then brought us the bill at 7:29 without asking us if we wanted dessert, even though we had already asked them before the meal what flavors they had for soft serve and let them know we were interested in ordering. Not even the courtesy of just letting us know if we could finish up because they had a table waiting, it was like a forced removal which really didn’t make us...

This place is an absolute gem! Hands down, this is the best duck I've had in the Bay Area. The restaurant itself, nestled in Bernal Heights, is a beautiful space. The contemporary decor, elegant furnishings, and stunning tableware create a warm and inviting ambiance that's perfect for a fantastic meal.

And let's talk about the duck. It was everything you could want and more: incredibly flavorful, amazingly tender, and wonderfully moist. The best part? It was completely deboned, making every bite an effortless joy. The skin was perfectly crispy, a testament to how well it was prepared. The side of fresh, tender greens with fried garlic was a delightful complement to the richness of the duck.

The service was impeccable, making the entire dining experience feel seamless and special. I can't recommend this place enough—you simply have to Go...

Location is great and food is delicious, just like the original Chinatown location. With the new location, it’s easier to get to, better parking, so happy to be close by!

Price a bit higher than what I remember - spent about $80 for half duck, half chicken, greens and rice. Duck and chicken was a bit colder than I’d like for the price you pay, but still great flavor overall.

I know it’s soft opening still, so I’m excited to see how grand opening is and hope to see this place really thrive! Hope they work out all the operations , will def make another visit!

Walls are a little empty, I would love to see them put some of the history of the original location up on the walls for those who are new to learn more! Esp with previous newspaper articles and all that would be great to celebrate...

This might just be one of the best Cantonese roast ducks in the U.S.—I haven’t found anything better in NYC! The skin is incredibly crispy, while the meat remains juicy and tender. I highly recommend getting a combo set with rice and greens—the pan-fried greens, cooked in duck oil, are packed with flavor. I also tried the taro shrimp cake, which reminded me of Taiwanese Full-Moon Shrimp Patties. The crispy pork belly was delicious, though the sauce was on the heavier side—you might need extra rice to balance it out! Beyond the amazing food, the restaurant itself is clean and modern, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this is the place to duck. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in SF!
