This is a Historic Lounge. Its a second oldest Lounge in SF since 1893. I didn't know about it when me and my friends visited it for the first time few years back. During our first visit we just randomly found this place as it was opened till late. It has couches and was very cozy so we really liked this place. After long time we recalled this place and wanted to go again. We tried searching it but couldn't find. They take cash so there wasn't any credit card transaction to find the name of this place. I tried searching lounges and bars on google but this place name never showed up. Then after few years I decided to drive to SF and search this place. I drove by all near by streets but couldn't find and was disappointed. Then finally I went to one restaurant (from where we searched this lounge previously) and yelped for lounges. I looked at all the nearby lounge pictures and in one of them I saw couches. So I suspected that it should be that lounge only. I drove there and as soon as I entered I was so happy to finally found it. I immediately ordered Gimlet. They have the best Gimlet. I sat on the couch and searched about this place. I found out that its the 2nd oldest lounge in SF since 1893. There was a huge earthquake in 1906 and this place survived it. There was one clock in this lounge which stopped ticking in that earthquake. They still have that clock. Its really awesome lounge and reasonable price. Its cash only and they...
Read moreWhilst exploring the great city of San Francisco we called by the Little Shamrock for a well deserved refreshment. It was a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly a little quiet, which actually made it a nice spot to relax for a while. The person behind the bar welcomed us warmly and kindly took our drinks orders, making us feel comfortable straight away. We also ordered a packet of crisps, yes, crisps not chips, which was met with a friendly understanding, which we really appreciated considering where we are from. The bar itself has a great selection of drinks, and we noticed a fun little darts area as well as some board games to keep yourself entertained. Overall, a really nice and laid back bar to take a break during a busy day of...
Read moreDropped by this bar for the first time today while spending the day with the family. I was craving an Irish coffee so decided to give their making of it a go. Did not disappoint! Love the creaminess mixed with the richness of the coffee. Definitely has a rustic feel to the bar. Born and raised in The Bay and we hangout in this neighborhood a lot but just never went inside before. But now I know the next time we are in the area I will stop by this place to get a great Irish coffee. Also fun watching the games on the TV's as well. The bartender at the time was very friendly. Highly...
