I had a terrible, horrible, worst experience here in this restaurant. It’s so bad I want to write an essay for it for the people who ever think about coming here.
And please please read google review before you reserve for a table, don’t trust yelp and open table too much.
We came here for new year eve diner, my husband wanted to find something new and exotic so he chose this restaurant from open table.
The moment we walked in the restaurant, I had a bad feeling. The light is gloomy, I mean gloomy light sometimes can be a sign of ambiance but here the light just gave you a feeling of dirty and unclear feeling. The seat is very squeezed and the table is low. If you are tall , it’s a very uncomfortable feeling to sit there and try to eat. For the ladies, don’t wear your mini skirt there unless you really want to show something to the other people. The cushions are old and look dirty to me, also the wall and floor.
The service is cold, the waiter and waitress dont even look at us. And they messed the order and sent us bill even before we finished main dish and later told us it was a mistake.
The containers of food look also not clean to me, and the taste is so so. We ordered the lamb and rabbit, I think the lamb is ok but no more than the similar food you can have in a fast food restaurant.
My last day of 2017 went quite well until I entered this I don’t even remember what is the name restaurant and i will always remind myself read reviews on google first before reserving a restaurant. After I came out of the restaurant, I read a lot of reviews talking about the same thing.
Hopefully it’s helpful to you to save same time and money. Stay away from this restaurant,...
Read moreFrom the moment we entered, we knew we were in for a great dining experience. Low couches with lots of pillows allow you to recline comfortably with your dinner companions. The service is gracious but not intrusive. We were presented with towels and lightly scented water to wash up before and near the end of your meal. Every single item on the menu, and we tried quite a few, was very good, although not presented in an overly fussy way. There is a special "off menu" choice for large groups (we had 8) where the chef will simply prepare a variety of dishes so everyone can sample, in Moroccan family style. We chose this, and although it was not any more expensive than separate dinners, it was WAY more food than any group our size could eat. We left with numerous containers, probably 4 pounds or more of meat, rice, and vegetables, which we distributed to the homeless on the way out. I would recommend not doing more than one full dinner per two people unless you have an enormous appetite, so you can save room for dessert and water/beverages. But we really enjoyed the dinner and I heartily recommend it if you...
Read moreBlunders after blunders - When we reached here on Feb 14th, the menu I was given had $44 for a vegetarian five-course meal. I ordered for myself and my wife. Later, we were offered a different menu which had $90 per person for a five-course dinner. Since we had already started with the food, we had to continue. Later, I ordered drinks, and even after asking three times, n one served us the drinks until the end. The food itself was very pathetic. We just ate appetizers and dessert. Everything else was below standards. We like Mediterranean food, but everything served to us was nowhere close to any other restaurants in the bay area. To add a cherry on the top, they added a $38 gratuity by default to my bill amount. I had to tell them about the kind of service that I received, and then the waitress agreed to remove the default gratuity, and I tipped myself later.
The only part that we liked here was the belly dance. The dancer was good, and she kept everyone...
