Mr Bahn Mi, I have some requests / suggestions for your 2 vegetarian bahn mis..... My first suggestion is that you make it more clear as to the difference between the hot bahn mi and the cold bahn mi -- naming one "vegetarian" and naming the other "tofu" does not make it clear which one has all the hot vegetables in it and which one does not have all the hot vegetables in it. How about call it something like hot veggie bahn mi and cool veggie bahn mi? My second suggestion is that you offer some vegan mayonnaise as well as regular mayonnaise for your vegan clients. My third suggestion is that you always season your carrots and daikon with the tangy vinegar and never simply leave the carrots and daikon as just shredded with no seasoning. I bought a sandwich recently and the vegetables were not seasoned and it was a very dull tasting sandwich -- so dull that if that if it continues I will find another spot to buy bahn mis...... to be honest it make that much of a difference in taste. My last suggestion is not a veggie specific suggestion but just a thought in general ..... perhaps you might think of supplying gluten-free baguette bread options as well for your gluten-free needing clientele. I do not need gluten-free options myself but I know lots of people out there do. You guys really could be a...
Read moreThis was my first visit here. Looked and smelled so good I forgot to take a picture before we started eating LOL I was going back and forth between getting this place or Saigon Sandwich (which I have nostalgia for) and man I’m glad I chose this place (no diss to Saigon Sandwich that’s just my OG cheap eats spot). I feel like this Banh Mi was more “American style” in the way that it was packed with meat vs a lot of cheaper banh mi where it’ll be like a strip of meat. The place is a walk up there is no seating so I ordered (2) banh mi - one bbq pork, one chicken, (2) iced coffee, and an order of imperial rolls to go. When I picked up my order I picked up the bag that thing was heavy, we drove around the park and found parking by the beach and ate. It was really good would definitely recommend. On top of the food just being good and the banh mi being packed with meat and having really good flavor, the roll was off the hook. Flaky on the outside, yet chewy, hearty to hold the goods, but still super soft chefs kiss Thank you will...
Read moreI come to this place regularly, and at $8.95 per meat loaded bbq pork bahn mi, it's a steal. The meat is always juicy and a very generous portion, the jalapeno is always spicy, and the veggies always tangy, sweet, and perfectly crunchy. I don't understand how this place isn't more popular right at lunch time, but pair this with a reasonably priced Vietnamese iced coffee and for less than $15 you've got a great lunch every time. The fresh rolls are good, but I am not the biggest fan of the dipping sauce provided so I stick to the bahn mis. The fried rolls are a solid choice though. If you're in the area and in the need for something cheap and filling, mr bahn mi will satisfy for sure. Also note: credit card charge is minimum $10 so I suggest a sandwich and a drink. I usually buy two...
