This poor place is almost always pure chaos. Every so often, I'll try it out in hopes that a new manager has saved it, or that the duct-taped, rickety thing Noah's uses for their supply chain has been fixed.
Never happens.
The front-line employees take the beating, of course. They're the face of this terrible place, and they're doing their best against impossible odds. How stressful it must be to paste a smile on the insanity they have to work in every day.
Even if you order ahead to "skip the line", you'll still be in the line. No distinction is made between an order made an hour before and the customer standing in line at the cash register.
You'd spend less time hungry for bagels if you went next door to Lucky, bought the ingredients, drove home, googled the recipe, and made them yourself.
Noah's Bagels on Sloat will forever be a mystery--how in the world can they stay in business?
The answer is, of course, that the incredible demand for their food outweighs problems that would be fatal to any other business.
Which leads to the obvious next question: how much money could that location make if it was helmed by competent supervision and management? They'd have to make bank deposits four times a day just to have somewhere to put...
Read moreThis place has really been going downhill. There was a very fast manager/ lead that had good attention to detail. I haven't seen her in a while. This lead, Miss (a name i couldn't remember), took my order, bagel, muffin, and a cookie, and needed me to repeat each item after she inputted the previous. She's been here for years now. But that's not the issue. I received my bagel and spent 5min trying to make eye contact with any of the staff. And not only did they seem to not want to be bothered, Miss just moved from customer to customer even though i was standing right there. No wonder this is the worst rated Noah's bagel for 20mi. It's a shame. It isn't hard to get orders right and score over a 4.0 on Google maps. You actually have to provide bad service to get below a 4.0. But they do it here. Currently a 3.3. And it's mostly the service because they haven't gotten my order wrong very often. And everything is prepared correctly. So it's just service why this place is so poorly rated. The $5 in pastries wasn't worth me waiting more than 5min. Do better or this location is going to go the way of...
Read moreFor this location and ALL the locations!! Bagels are the only things that are good at Noah's. If Safeway bagels & House of Bagels had decent bagels I'd shop there for sure! Prices are astronomical, worse than Starbucks!! Lines are ALWAYS SUPER long!! Customer service sucks! And now they close at 5 o'clock 7 days a week!!? I can understand on Sunday but every other day!? Unless you're there at 7 AM all the good flavors of bagels are sold out!! Who can go there after work during the week? Nobody!! You have to go on the weekends when it's a SUPER crowded or wake up @ 5:30 AM on the weekends so you can be there by 7 AM when they open.
And ALL the stores ONLY have ONE cashier, so NO even if they had TWO registers ONLY would be used at ALL times because everyone else is making food anyways! Here's a TIP!! Have more than ONE register so 2 cashiers can make the line that's OUT the door move a tad better instead of at a SLUGS...
