I love this park. There's parking and the trees isolate the area so dogs can't run off into the street. Three stars because it takes a while for parks and rec to clean it up, i.e. high winds shifted the sand (yes, they periodically dump a pile of sand in an area to cover a hole or fight erosion) across the asphalt trails and it's still there weeks, sometimes months later. Sometimes dogs can get rowdy, especially when their owner is distracted. And there's coyotes to watch out for (they've never bothered me and my two little dogs, but they've, at times, watched me closely and have "escorted" other dogs and their owners out of their territory). I love that there are multiple trails here to walk your dog (some are on leash areas). You can hang with people of go off...

My dog is 10lbs and gets very nervous when larger dogs run at her. The dog owners must know this and keep their dogs from doing it. Ive noticed most people have regular groups they meet with for the dogs to play together. Its nice for them to have doggy friends they already know and trust. Its also a beautiful area where i enjoy the feeling of community. People know eachother and are helpful if you ask about something. In San Francisco the whole city was like that years ago. Most of the people in tge city have become so distant now. I dont know my neighbors anymore. Everyone keeps...

This park is very off leash friendly. After living in Rincon Hill for many years, this was a very good change of pace, as many of the dogs off leash were clearly trained to get along with dogs. Majority of the dogs are on the larger side, but there are also many small dogs as well.
There is a lot of parking for cars. I don’t recommend street parking because the park is below street grade.
One of the downsides is that it’s not very pedestrian friendly to get to, and many people drive in...
