Paik’s Noodle SFC / H Mart — Restaurant in San Francisco

We ordered from Doordash and got the Combo C. I can't confirm why but I remember being confused reading the what was included in Combo C (it seems fine on 7/24/22). Like, there are so many variations of Jjamppong.... Anyways, Combo C is 1 X Jajangmyeon (noodles with black soybean sauce) / 1 X Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup). The food was not my preferred meal and so it was just alright. It took quite a bit of effort to mix the jajangmyeon well because the noodles were sticking together. The jjamppong was too spicy - and if I could have read properly at the time, I wouldn't have ordered it. My boyfriend said jjamppong was good if you could ignore the spicy. Paik's Noodle is such a solid option. Food is good. Portions are generous. My favorite would have to be their classic Jajangmyeon/Black Bean Noodle. The noodles are nice and QQ. The sauce is well seasoned and flavorful. It has a unique flavor from the fried black bean paste. Generous sauce portion too. I always have leftovers and add it on a bed of hot rice the next day. Love that they give you a side of pickled radish as a palate cleanser. Their jjampong and tangsuyuk is pretty good too.

Staff are nice. Food comes out pretty quickly. Only thing to keep in mind is that the food court can get really busy during peak times making it hard to find a seat....

Good: Food came out super quickly and it was no more than 5 minutes wait The large jjajeongmyeon was perfect for 2 people to share - it even came with some appetizers and banchan so it was a perfect amount of food for us The noodles were so chewy and the texture was perfect - really good savory flavor

Bad: We had to wait for a table and got lucky with one, but it's a pretty crowded space Very casual hole in the wall, so you can't stay for a long time
