If you're not Salvadorian, you don't understand the cultural significance and nostalgia it brings to Salvis. It's a popular bakery in El Salvador, so I value this place and the workers because my family from El Salvador find joy in the bread from here. I have family in Novato who drive down just to pick up this bread and family in Los Angeles who asks to bring this bread when we visit. The pasteles de leche are my favorite and I always make sure to also get some tamales de pollo with bolios for breakfast! You can't go wrong with what you get, they have sweet bread for multiple all different lovers of the best carbs!
The owner is my favorite person and he's always there when I go, I love being able to have a conversation with him about life! When I first moved here 10 years ago, my parents discovered this place for the first time and my dad told him to look after me when they go back to LA. Lol that's the Salvi way, we are connected through the love for the country that everyone is like family, even if you just met for the first time! Going here makes me feel more at home! And did I mention the pasteles de leche and tamales de pollo?! Delicious!
Great bread,...

They lost my business and the rest of my family members as well! I will never step foot in this...

I got a budin, which is a sweet item made with bananas. It's soft and custard-like. I also got a pastry, not sure what it is called, with a hard, flaky rounded shell with a custard/creme in the middle. This was not really sweet, so...
