Today I ordered a super burrito with shrimp and steak with everything, a quesadilla super with shrimp and steak, and a quesabirra. HOW DISAPPOINTING IT WAS TO EAT THIS FOOD and if what was sold to me is considered a quesabirra, well damn something is truly wrong with the world.
Super burrito: was way too "super" is was a sloppy soggy mess. I guess whoever they have has cooks who aren't measuring the portions, It was so soggy that the tortillas were ripping from the sides and not even halfway in the burrito itself unraveled. Very disappointing. I wasn't even able to finish it because it fell apart into the bag. Another side note was that the avocado used in this burrito was bad (tasted old or rotten).
-Super quesadilla: NOTHING SUPER about it, They used a regular-sized tortilla put cheese, and called it a day. The overall taste was sad and basic and the appearance of the dish matched the taste. Very consistent in being sad and disappointing
-quesabirra: (only tried it because someone recommended it- they know nothing about quesabirras nor have had a properly made one) Please don't even waste your money on this taco. This taco killed me when I saw it. One regular-sized tortilla with cheese and meat (they tried their best to season the meat) Overall this taco looks like an elementary student made it. No flavor or soup which is something regular that comes with this dish EVERYWHERE you go. Either way, I'm sure the birra broth would taste like water.
Overall sad, and a waste of money. Please save your Monday and go elsewhere. THIS PLACE ( USE ) TO BE GOOD...
Read moreI always thought this was, on the whole, the best taqueria and burrito in town. I used to live on 23rd& and work on 14th&Mission for a year and a half so I've tried about half of them several times each. This became my go-to place after work.
It's on the same block as Farolito but there's never a line and the burritos are just as good if not better and they have beer on tap. I never had a shrimp burrito i liked better anywhere else in my life, or that was as huge. Like one of those things could feed me all day. And the ladies who work there were always super nice.
Take it next door to the Mission Bar, put "The Chronic" on the jukebox and you have a very happy happy hour.
That said, I haven't been there since 2016 when I moved back to the East coast but, I can't imagine much has changed here until the lease expires anyway..... Hopefully not for a long time cause I could still go for one of those shrimp burritos.
Where's the app where i can hire someone to FedEx me one overnight? Not to mention In-N-Out and Jack in the box. Those three establishments are literally 3 of the top 5 things i miss about living in California.... Sorry, Five Guys is good but nothing beats a double double animal style medium rare. Sorry, they don't do medium rare anymore. Guess the lawyers put the kibosh on that. Probably the same reason there is no...
