I never write reviews. However, I cannot stop thinking about my horrible experience last night at Eden Fine Art. As an art educator, artist, and graduate student in art, I would consider myself fairly well-versed in the art world. I have a lot of experience with collecting art and dealing with art collectors and enthusiasts. Last night, my husband and I were walking along the pier when we discovered Eden Fine Art. We instantly fell in love with the work of David Kracov. It was the first time I had ever seen his artwork. We spent several minutes observing his work from outside the gallery. Finally, we entered the gallery and I was so excited to talk to the gallery staff about his work. I approached a blonde woman at the gallery desk. I asked a simple question about Kracov's work, because I was genuinely interested in his pieces. The lady responded in the most belittling, sarcastic, downgrading manner. In a rude voice, in a tone hinting that I was not "elite" enough to understand, she said "It's called Pop Art, you know, it's like a thing". Then, she rudely went on her phone. I was so shocked by her response. Rather than working in the art world to educate and to represent contemporary artists, she instead, automatically assumed, perhaps, I was not worth her time. As someone who loves art, it really is so upsetting to not feel comfortable enough to even step foot into a gallery or to ask a question. The only person this lady is hurting is the artist, David Kracov. I cannot even imagine the number of sales he has lost because of the gallery's...
Read moreIf I could give this gallery less than one star it would be zero. I have never been so rudely treated in my entire life. I walked in to the gallery drawn in by the beautiful colors seen from outside. I was very much enjoying the show. I walked past a sign, not near any artwork, that contained the galleries instagram. I simply stopped with my phone pointed at the ground to search for the handle on Instagram. The saleswoman rudely yelled “Ma’am is there something I can help you with!” In an accusatory tone. I told her I just wanted to find them in Instagram. Then after a couple more minutes she said “we don’t mind you price checking but while you’re in the gallery we want you to ACTUALLY look at the art.” This woman is the most distasteful human I have ever encountered in my life. I will never go back, purchase anything, or recommend it to others. Have a little class...
Read moreEden was one of my favorite galleries. I have five pieces of art that I have purchased from them. My most recent purchase has some damage. For over a year the woman I have worked with said she would send someone out to my home to fix it. She never has and is no longer returning my calls. I then contacted the owner. She was very rude on the phone. After arguing for some time she asked me to send her pictures of the piece through WhatsApp. She has not gotten back to me as well. I have reached out to her twice. I will no longer be purchasing art from...
