Friendly staff, number of vegetarian/vegan options, though bland. 🟢💵 Good value, $11 for the veg California burrito that came with a small portion of tortilla chips. Doesn't look like a lot, but it's more than enough after eating the burrito. 🟢🪑 They have a good amount of seating, ~20 people. Stopped by ~7:30 pm after seeing they offer vegetarian options and they had better ratings than another taqueria. The line was out the door, ~8 people. The person behind me was a regular and shared it's worth the wait, and the ordering machine isn't faster than standing in line. Waited 10~15 min, ordered a veg California burrito since it had tofu. I was surprised the veggies are cooked to order. Gave my server my bean choice, paid, then went to the bathroom since the veggies were still cooking. After coming out, my burrito was ready. 🟢🥦 Vegetables were cooked perfectly done. Still crunchy. 🟡⬜ 🟢🤵‍♂️There are so few pieces of tofu, after the first few bites, I thought they were accidentally forgotten. The cashier kindly have me a small cup of tofu, told me there's very little in the burrito. I had to eat 50% to see my first cube of tofu 😂 🟡🌯 Everything was overall bland. The tofu and made to order veggies I can forgive. But the beans and rice were also underseasoned 😶 The spicy green salsa helps. The red was also bland.

I stopped here during a casual wall through the Mission just to give it a try. The place was very comfy yet basic, spotless inside including the bathroom, and located at the corner allowing me to just look out into the street as I sat inside. I showed up around 1130 and business was pretty brisk with the queue never getting longer than four people. I consider their menu to be really great Mexican comfort food, although I would not be surprised to hear that they have some other Latin American items there too. The menu hanging up there is pretty big. It was a tough choice but I went with a scrumptious taco and a burrito to take home, requested spicy. My food was prepared right there on the spot using fresh ingredients I saw being replenished frequently by other staff and a cook I could see at a station not far behind the serving line. I ate the burrito later at home and I thought it was amazing. There is also a drinks case that has a variety of soft drinks as well as beer selections. This is a very friendly place that served delicious food at a modest price for a Bay Area lunch. Definitely worth a visit as you enjoy one of the most colorful and vibrant parts of San Francisco!

There's so many taquieras in the area (and a totally vegan Mexican restaurant down the street) and yet my heart always calls for El Buen Sabor. My go-to is the tofu burrito, which comes with rice and beans. I like to add spicy pico de gallo and avocado, as I'm not in love with their guacamole. This time, I got the refried beans upon learning they were vegan, but I truly recommend getting a mix of black and pinto beans for added texture. Nevertheless, today's order was just as good as the many that I've had before it. The marinated tofu is such a thoughtful addition for veg customers, but there is also a super veg burrito with assorted veggies, rice, and beans, as well! The burrito comes with a little helping of chips and salsa (ask for both roja and verde!) which is a great side or versatile addition to the main. Pair it with a bottle of Coca-Cola and you've got a quick, delicious, and filling meal for around $15 -- a steal by San Francisco standards! I can't recommend enough for vegans and look forward to coming back.

Terrible service. I went in one night with my two friends. One of my friends is part Mexican and speaks the language. We're all vegetarian and so we ask for veggie burritos. I asked for my guacamole on the side. The staff proceeded to role their eyes and make comments in Spanish while getting the guacamole after I reminded them. The woman handed it to the man at the register and he threw it in the bag where it busted open. He got annoyed and asked for another all the while talking with the woman. They smiled at me, but my friend who spoke Spanish looked amazed at what they were saying. He got the new guacamole and shoved it in the bag. I hadn't realized the first one got all over everything and so I took the bag and thanked him after paying. It wasn't until I was in my car with my friends that the bag broke from the bottom, the guacamole seeping through, and staining my car seat. And my friend told me once we left that the staff were laughing at our food choices. They also said that since I was the one who asked for the guacamole on the side that I should be the one to pay for both the one that the man dropped and the new one they gave me. Food was good but service was terrible. I don't normally leave reviews of any sort but this wasn't the first time I've had issues there and I felt it was...
