A pungent cleaning chemicals smell greeted me when I walked in. They are doing construction at 5pm on a Saturday. The music was blasting from the sound bar behind the cashier. I ordered a steak quesadilla and got a regular chicken burrito $12 because the cashier couldn't hear what I said. I was confused when the chef said your burrito is ready. I checked my receipt. Sure enough, that's what the cashier put me down for. It already took 15 minutes for them to make it. One of the construction guys told me they will re-make it if I asked. No thanks, I'm not waiting another 15 minutes in that stinky dining room. The food tasted fine. At least they give free chips and salsa. Weird their menu doesn't list prices.

First time here and we loved it. We got the pizza birria and Camerones a la Diabla. The pizza could of been cooked a little longer, but it was still delicious and it comes with consome. The shrimp were something new for me, I never had shrimp like these, and let me tell you...they did not disappoint! They were actually amazing. To drink we had their freshly squeezed orange juice and agua de horchata. Their horchata was the best I've had in a long time, it's housemade where you can taste the thicknest of the blended rice 🤤 I'm very picky about my agua de horchata and this was the one 🔥. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the city.

Tripas is a interesting thing to eat. I like it on a taco but not on a burrito. Once in a while I'll just have a weird craving for it. La Iguana Azul cooks tripas well. Not too hard and not too mushy. Their burritos and quesadillas are great tacqueria fare as well. Reasonably priced and good and fast service. It's located on a busy area so difficult parking.

This is an update from the review I made on my other account recently, regarding the matter of the cook not cooking my order and had to cancel because even after 15 minutes of placing the order, they never worked on it.

I assume it was the owner who responded to that review of mine. I appreciate the apology, but I don't appreciate the gaslighting. There were several doordash orders ahead of mine? If that's true, then your cook wasn't cooking those orders either.

I urge you to please check your cameras! I was there from around 5PM to 525PM today (this is 11/2/24, I was wearing a Sharks hockey jersey). I placed my order within the 5-510PM window, and sat for a good 15 minutes before I cancelled my order. I WAS WATCHING THE KITCHEN THE ENTIRE TIME during this, to make sure I don't get shrimp on my food, because your cashier charged me for an extra camaron, because I asked for extra chicharron meat on my burrito order and she couldn't find the chicharron charge on your POS, and was told it's "the same price" so that's what she would charge me instead (which is fine by me).

Like I mentioned, I was watching the kitchen all the time, and during that time, your cook (black shirt, red apron) never started cooking anything. He went to the back at least two times. One time I saw him open a can of tomatoes in the back and he proceeded to use it for whatever it is he's preparing in the front. Not ONCE did he start a DoorDash order, nor mine, during my wait there. The closest thing he did was mixing the tomatoes into a big container. No order, neither DoorDash or others, was cooked in the flat grill until I asked for my order to be cancelled, which suspiciously got started right away after I have been vocal to the cashier about my disappointment.

Neither of your cashiers even bothered to check the status of the order, too, nor where they taking DoorDash orders on their pads (one of them was counting money, the other, who just came in during this point, was busy helping a couple, and changing the TV volume). So to say that there were DoorDash orders ahead of mine is just a complete lie. Again, I ask you to please check your cameras to confirm my story.

Once more, it's one thing if the place is actually busy. I work food service and I understand this. But it's another when the employees just flat out don't work on the orders. And you're saying they were busy when I literally watched the entire time?

This type of gaslighting is unacceptable. I would have just accepted an apology but you're making me seem like an impatient customer when I have supported you guys all these years. Either your employees are lying to you, or you're a terrible owner who stands for your employees' incompetence.

Shame on you. I have been a regular customer for years. There were several times my orders got messed up but not once did I complain, and I kept coming back because the food was good and the service was alright, until now. I never would have thought I would be treated like this. If it's your employees who told you that there were "DoorDash orders" I suggest you check your cameras and catch them on their lie. But if you're the one saying that there were orders being done ahead of mine, you're...

I usually order from doordash and they get my order right.... But this time I was in the area so I decided to walk in and order in person.... Boy was that a big mistake.... First the order that I usually order from doordash they end up charging me more money for the same item....I asked them why are they charging me more money for the same item that I usually order from doordash and I also showed them the order receipt that I had on doordash.... They told me that it's because they were really busy at the time..... I told them that it's not make a difference.... Then they told me that maybe I should order what I wanted on doordash..... I said no that is why I came in to order....so they took my order.... Then but that was not all.... I left and came back and I finally get my order drove off.... AND MY ORDER WAS WRONG.... So I drove back to let them know and they did correct my order but that is not the point ...I am a person with health issues and can't eat certain things .... I told them that from the beginning before ordering .....what if they would have put something in there that I could not eat and I would have gotten sick just because they couldn't get my order right... So to continue as I said yes they did correct my order but when they corrected my order they put so much cheese in it to try to compensate for their mistake that it was so salty that I ended up feeling nauseated and threw up.... But boy I give them one credit at least they gave me two free drinks for their mistake .... like if that's supposed to resolve...

First and last time last night, Thursday 8/1/24 around 10:30pm. My friend ordered+paid ahead for pick up. Wait time said 20 minutes, which was fine. I got there to pick up in about 22 minutes, and still waited another 10 minutes once I arrived/ checked in.

Poor service + poor food=no return.

This was an all around miss for me. I got a regular burrito and added cheese; the cheese was forgotten, the carnitas were alot of fat chunks (the kind you bite into and it's actually a whole piece so pull a large chunk out and lose your other ingredients because they spilled), my tortilla was stale, and the pinto beans definitely could have been soaked/ cooked longer to be softer.

I asked the person who handed me my food for salsa; specifically I asked for 2 cups of red and 2 cups of green. She turned around and grabbed 1 of each and set them down infront of me on the counter. I asked for 1 more of each, and she said "you have to pay" and walked away from me. I waited for the cashier to finish who they were helping, and I asked for a fork. He rudely answered back with "it's in the bag", and also walked away. If there were utensils available for me to grab, I would have, because I knew there was no fork in there. Walked to the car and checked, and ofcourse, no fork.

Paid $40 for a regular burrito, 2 "street tacos", and 2 glass bottled cokes. I don't feel like my money was...
